Happy Birthday to ME!!

Oh no.... one year older again....

Tis year I received a handmade card from Evan, done secretly on his own... :) Its not very well done but its his own effort... He do not know how to spell birthday so he wrote Happy Mummy Day.... hahaha... Thank you Evan!!!

Balls are rolling

We brought the kids bowling for the 1st time... They had lots of fun.... tis sua ku mummy din know that there are actually barriers at the lane which can be lifted up for the kids so that their balls will not go into the drain (and our money will not go into the drain too) hahaha....

Their tiny fingers are too small to fit into the holes so they are rolling the balls with both hands.... Mummy hardly get to play at all :(

I love Durians!!!

My little princess is a super durian lover!!! It is no longer the durian season but she is still crazy over it.... We went for dinner and while waiting for the food to be served, she spotted some durians in the nearby fruit stall and insisted she NEED to eat!!!

So she was sitting there enjoying her durian alone while we had our dinner... till the fish was being served then she is willing to keep it... btw she has a funny habit of eating fishes... she only like to eat fish when she can see the head and tail....  fish slices and fillet she dun like, actually I also dun know wats the dif???

Chinatown

We brought the kids to Chinatown to walk walk and have a look at the not-so-fantastic lightings... heehee...

Yes!! Evan was munching a piece of mooncake!! too busy eating all the way...
We were dressed up in our one and only set of uniform today!! oops except Daddy... cos we bought tis set before Claudia was born.. so now as everyone "grows", it was being passed down... (Daddy can no longer fit into his so it's now Mummy's) Mmmm... The one that Evan is wearing used to be mine, I tink it is time for me to lose weight... how did I fit into that t-shirt 3 years ago?

I love mooncakes!!!

Evan is a crazy fan of mooncakes, only the traditional baked type.... Since he saw mooncakes for sale 2 weeks ago, he has been asking for it every other day.....

Today Jui² bought a box of our fav from Goodwood Park... he ate almost one on his own within minutes!!!  but he dun know how to appreciate the very delicious durian mooncake.... lucky ah... if not it will be gone in no time too... haha...

Everytime he sees sampling for mooncakes, he will try all the flavours and all taste good to him,... haha...  Everytime I see him eat, I feel like eating too!!! haha

Selemat Hari Raya

If I am not wrong, only muslims wear new clothes and shoes for Hari Raya... then it may be an indication that my kids will be muslims in future?!?!?!? oh gosh... faintz

The 2 of them digged out their new shoes and clothes to wear!!! Claudia started it actually, she insisted on wearing this pretty dress on this hot day... and guess where are we going? Grandparents' place!!!! Aiyo simply have no idea why is she all dressed up?? My big vainpot!!!

But I tink she look sooo pretty and cute in this Korean dress which Jui² bought for her... actually I have not found a suitable occasion and venue for her to wear it to... but never mind she found it on her own... haha... I guess she should be an actress in future, full of expressions!!!

Evan dun have any new clothes but he managed to find a pair of new socks and shoes to join his sister's crazy act... haha....

Help me please.....

The 2 of them can be so loving at times!! Tis morning Claudia asked Evan to help her wear her shoes.... She sounded so sweet and tender that Gor² can't reject her request.... He readily sat down and wear her socks and shoes for her!!!  Ohh so sweet... :)

Say Cheese!!!

My 2 little babes simply love CHEESE!!! My fridge is also full of cheese.... cheese spread, slices, cubes, sticks, shredded...plain cheese, flavoured cheese... you name it, they like it!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!

We had dinner at Prima revolving restaurant to celebrate Daddy getting 1 year older, with my in laws.... The food was so so only but the kids loves the scenery....

Our baking session

Remember Evan requested to bake a cake for Daddy's birthday? And he insisted that it has to be done secretly so as to give Daddy a surprise ( as if Daddy really dun know... haha) He banned Daddy from the kitchen till cake is completed....

He woke up at 7am to get ready... Oh gosh, can't Mummy sleep a bit longer on a Sat morning? Relunctantly he waited till 7.45am before he digged Claudia out from bed....

It was better than wat I expected... not so messy though Claudia was "helping".... hahaha... Mummy is not confident to bake a cake so decided to bake cup cakes instead.... heehee.... chose an easy recipe and it turned out quite well.... edible and presentable...(the 2nd tray was slightly over baked :P) hahaha....

Juices + Baking

My kitchen suddenly have more applicances.... Ah ma bought me a blender, asking me to TRY to make fruit juices for kids more often.... Then Gong² decided that blended juice may not taste nice to the kids so he bought me another juice maker!!!

Mmm... Mummy have another duty now... Kids used to drink fruit juice only when they are at grandparents place... Mummy me only buy ready-made juice for them... heehee.... I got inspired and borrowed some books on juices and smoothies.... Daddy says he will be waiting.... hahaha....

Evan had tis idea of making Daddy a birthday cake and give him a surprise!! Oh my duty again... so started to buy some barang barang for baking... will find a day with fine weather and good mood to try to bake something tis week (cos Daddy's bday is on tis Sat)

Evan also asked me why I have never made him nice breakfast... I was like huh??? Then I realised he meant bento or nicely decorated breakfast!!! Where and when did he start having all these funny ideas??!?!?!

Wat an eventful day...

Weather was good on Sat... decided to bring kids to MacRitchie Reservoir for some sunshine and exercise....

Evan was quite disappointed when he saw no playground there.... but luckily the canoeing team, the many monkeys and trekking did change his mind that it is a boring place... haha

This is the 1st time they walked in a "forest"... quite a good experience for them, the city kids....(if can take away all the mosquitoes bites, it will be fantastic) hahaha

Love to take photos of their backview when they are so lovey dovey.... If I tried to take the front view, one of them will either give me a funny face or let go....

They and their many pit stops along the way... they were eating and drinking all the way!!! Mummy brought enough food but not enough water....  luckily they did not snack in front of all the daring monkeys if not they sure will get a scare from the monkeys snatching their food.... hahaha

They were not afraid of the monkeys and Claudia even wanted to play with them, as if they are pets... Daddy was the more paranoid one, keep on shielding them.... the monkeys really keep on going near Claudia and will only go away when Daddy walked near...

Evan has been having craving for grilled salmon at Yoshinoya so we went to Bishan 8 for that... but too bad they no longer have that but he is still very contented with the fried ones.... guess cos he is starving... haha...

On our way back, we dropped by SPCA.... The kids were so happy and started bugging me to have a dog AGAIN!!! but sorry, Mummy likes dogs but really not ready to look after another living thing in the house... heehee....

The entertaining part was Getai!!! haha... actually they were so tired after a long day but since the Getai is so near to our place, we decided to drop by to have a look anyway they have not seen one before.... Super tired Claudia was so fasinated by the lightings and music, she was dancing there....


Evan managed to kapoh a chair from dun know where and got himself comfortably seated, enjoying his show though I dun tink he really understand wat they talking about... hahaha.... but  when a singer was singing some old and slow songs which almost make Mummy fall asleep, he commented that it was a lousy singer who is so boring.... hahaha...

Updates on Claudia

Claudia eats well and sleeps well too!!! haha.... She can talked back very well now, she is a very vocal girl for her age.... sometimes driving us to the wall with all her answers!!! Her mandrain is improving, she will try to hold a Mandrain conversation with us... credits to Ah Ma and her Chinese teacher!!!

She loves to have us reading to her, will ask for books whenever she can... and the reading can be non stop... one after another....

She is a girl with tomboyish behaviour ( plays too much with her bro?) but she is definitely a vain gal... one day, after my shower, her face was all red with my blusher!!! and she still tells me she have to put powder to look pretty... oh gosh, Daddy tot she had a sun burnt!!!

One day, she suddenly took a bottle of nail polish from my dresser and insisted i apply for her!! and it must be on 10 fingernails and 10 toenails!!! OMG....

She was vomitting and having diarrhoea last week... almost drained all my energy... At night, she vomitted and went back to sleep.... half an hour later, wakes up to drink water and went back to sleep.... half an hour later, she wakes up to vomit again.... the whole cycle keep repeating till dawn, did Mummy sleep? I dun know but I guess so... cos sometimes i wasnt in time to get the container for her and it was all over the place...

I have been changing and washing bedsheets day and night... i was exhausted!!! luckily she is back to her bubbly self now... eats like she has been starved for weeks!!!

The worst part of her falling sick is she refuses to take any medication!!! Coax her or force her, nothing works... She will cry her lungs out and use all her strength to fight back...we tried to hold her down and force it into her mouth but somehow she simply wont swallow it... Seeing the doc is only to make ourself feel good and be assured that nothing is seriously wrong... She will recover on her own without any medication... haizz...

Updates on Evan

Well well... he is good... eat well sleep well...  study hard play hard.... haha... like so perfect hor....

After 6 months of swimming lesson, he is able to swim lap to and fro without any help!!! I am so proud of him.... haha... though his posture looks like he is struggling sometimes... but I am glad that he is no longer afraid and willing to learn....

He lost his scooter 2 weeks ago!!! He left it at the playground and forgotten all about it when he was going home.... haiz.... he has been bugging me to buy him a new one but we decided to let him wait as his punishment....

Claudia was vomitting and having diarrhoea last week and Evan vomitted a couple of times too... As they have been eating Mummy's home cooked food, I was blaming myself, thinking what could have gone wrong with my cooking :( Till today I read in the papers that this virus was very common last week and I can feel a sense of relief in myself... so it was not my fault... heehee....

Though Evan vomitted a couple of times but he was still full of energy and looks well.... Daddy credited all to the TCM that he has been taking tis 2 years.... But i guessed its true, he seldom fall sick (touch wood!!) and even if he does, it usually last only for a day and dun need to see a doc for that... But Daddy, the person who cooked and looked after his daily needs should deserve some credit too right? and that person is MUMMY ME!!!! hahaha

Finally back in action

Mummy din realise it has almost been a month since I last blogged... I almost forgotten about it after I got fed up when I can't upload photos... The past month has been energy draining and I simply forgot all about it....

luckily a friend came to my rescue.... hahaha... and that brings me back to my blog :) hope it dun give me problems again....

So wat have we been doing for the past month... ehhh I can't remember ah... has a month really passed?? oh gosh its fast.... wat have I been doing... mmmm.....
