Parenting is...

a long and tedious journey...

Why? Mummy just attended a function and it makes me realise how difficult it is to be a parent... It is a life-time commitment and responsiblity... What they grow up to be is determine by how we bring them up....

Wat can I give or do for them to let them have a good future and life... to mould them into a good person? The amount of love, the environment they grow up in, the little things tat they learn along the way... will determine wat they will be when they grow up....

Of cos all parents would like their kids to grow up the way they hoped them to be.... but lots of love, concern, effort and patience are needed... Mummy suddenly feel so determined to give them all I can, all I wan them to be is a good person...

Zoo Zoo

Mummy brought them to the zoo with Aunt Sab n kids again... partly cos of the new rainforest... it started to rain in e middle of last night, gave Mummy a scare... but luckily it was perfect weather when we were there.... We were quite courageous tis time, 2 mummys with 4 kids, no helpers... wow wow we have done it!! yeah yeah....

We went in at about 1030 and left at 6pm... Mummy's legs are tired, right arm is aching from carrying Claudia too much... but e kids were full of energy... even Claudia can survive without aft nap... of cos both of them was knocked out the moment the car started moving, as usual...

The 4 stars of the day!!

I am not trying to scold cameraman... I am learning to say cheese with a V sign :)

Water play was our 1st stop.... Dylan, Evan and Claudia was busy playing... they really enjoy themselves!!! Mummy had a hard time keeping a lookout of their existence... sometimes really cant see where they are... but I am glad tat they enjoyed themselves!!

Have a break... Claudia will never miss e drinks and snacks...

Aunt Sab queued almost half hour for our lunch at KFC while Mummy have fun with e 4 kids....

All these exercising still cant drained Evan's energy... see how energtic he is....

This is e most tiring part to me.... tis 2 kids keep going again and again... Mummy me have to keep running up and down e sand pit... tink they go for more than 20 times!!!

The 2 tired but happy Mummys!! Well done!!

We still went around seeing animals after e visit to Rainforest... but animals dun seems as interesting as they were anymore cos its a repeat visit... But the sealion show was great cos they get to see it near.... Overall tis is an enjoyable trip... though super tiring but definitely worthwhile!!

Sinful

We went for buffet dinner with Ah Ma on Sat night... Very fulfilling and contented... cos my kids seldom have the patience for us to eat buffet... afterall they dun like to spend such a long time eating and sitting... haha

but its a super sinful one for Mummy... all the oysters, lamb and beef make me feel so guilty cos I simply cant stop eating!!! haha...

Should i use the pinky kiddy cultery or the big big one?? the food on her plate are deceiving, she din finish all... as expected anyway...

My Ambition is

to be a Policeman!! tis is Evan's new ambition since Xmas day episode at Aunt Sher's house... haha...

He used to say he wan to be a nurse bcos can look after people... but it has changed since tat fateful day... so funny... he keeps telling us he will be a policeman when he grows up...

Roller Blading

Evan is always interested in roller blading, due to Jui²'s influence... however Mummy find him too young for such an accident prone exercise... Today we went to CC for a health event and he got to have a short trial.... and it seems to dampen his interest... hahaha..

Swimmin again

We went swimming again... nice weather.... but my little gal was not cooperative... After 30 mins, she insisted on going shower!!! So bobian lor.. Mummy have to bring her out for her shower.... and tats e end of my swim....

The 2 boys were happily swimming and playing in e pool while poor Mummy played "catching" with Claudia by the deck for an hour!!!

Cars

Can you try to tell wat are the different car models in the picture?

We always find Evan very "gifted" with recognizing cars since young... He is very interested in them and he used to recognize by the logo of the cars....

But recently Mummy is amazed!! He can tell me the make of the car when it zoomed by ours... of cos not all but he can diffentiate most of the commonly seen cars on the road... even those "ah beng" cars tat have all kinds of body kit on it and logo cant be seen anywhere... Aiyo how?

He told us he recognize by the "light patch"... haha... he meant the headlights!! but till now Mummy still cant do it!! To me, car is just some machine that can bring me from point A to B, as long as it can move on the road, its fine with me.... haha... so its only a game between Daddy and him...

Good guy?

The party went on well... except for Evan's hiccup at the end of the evening... Aunt Sher wanted them to play "Police and Thieve catching" so she tried to choose the policemen... Evan was not chosen and he started to cry badly...

He keep saying he is a good boy so he cannot be the thieve!!! Mummy tried very hard to explain tat its just a pretend game but he simply cant accept e fact tat he has to be bad guy?!? Aiyo then he start to throw tantrums, cried again when Uncle Joe gave out presents....

Guess maybe he was tired thus cranky already... but its his character tat he cant accept things tat he tink its wrong... Mmm... how should i say it? He is a strong-principle child, a bit stubborn and insistent..."Si Xin Yan"

He will do things as its supposed to be.... when changes are introduced, lots of explanation is needed and he has to be convinced... its both good and bad... cos once u teach him e correct thing or routine, he will just stick to it... there is only black and white, no grey area for him...

Xmas BBQ

We were being invited to Aunt Sher's pl for BBQ on Xmas day...actually it was kind of late so din really wan to go... But Mummy find it difficult to reject her sincerity.... haha... anyway my kids wake up at 6pm from aft nap, I cant expect them to go to bed at 9pm right??


Claudia was such an angel for the night... so demure and well behaved... haha... See how she enjoyed her prawn, she loves to bite off the shell with her mouth... refused to let me do it for her... she is such an independent gal, everything also mei² do myself...

Evan was busy helping out with the food...

Mummy caught 2 lovers in the act!!! kissing away in the dark!!

The party ended very late... at 10+ the kids are still playing at the playground... imagine 8 kids running around, must be such a nuisance to the residents... haha...

While Claudia was playing alone quietly... so sweet... :)

Late Day

Today is a more relaxed one... slept late, had a late breakfast at e coffeeshop... send Daddy to work while Mummy and 2 kids went grocery shopping... and arcade at CP...

Daddy get to KO early today so went for a late lunch and home for a late aft nap... they are all still sleeping now....

later going Ah Ma's house for a late dinner.... steamboat!!! the best food for a cold weather like tis... hopefully our Xmas day wont end up with a late night sleep.... haha

I love Evan

Though its soooo obvious but Mummy still would like to keep in under records... heehee... u know how we spent our eve?

Sent both kids to school in the morning cos they have Xmas party.... Mummy then went store to help out.... Picked both after lunch then deposit Claudia at Ah Ma house... Evan then started his part time job at the store... haha... no joke ok, he really helped out, pack the drinks in e store room, throw rubbish, carry tis and move tat...

We then went to collect our Xmas set and rushed home... to see all the guests sitting in our living hall... haha... such a bad host... guests arrived but host not at home...oops...lucky Ah Ma was there to open door for them...

He din have his aft nap... :( but lucky he was not cranky but enjoyed e fun... then of cos he had a deep deep sleep till late morning... love u son...

Merry Xmas

Mummy invited 1st Yi-po n family, 5th Yi-po n family and of cos Ah ma n family to my home for a Xmas party on the eve!!! Wow wat a crowd... come to tink of it, actually Mummy have yet to hold any party at home since we moved in....

It was a very last minute decision... aiya no choice cos we always last min then know free anot.. we had spent our last 4 Xmas working and working, so sad.... tis year finally get to celebrate... heehee...

though last min but we have quite a wide spread of food... cos Mummy brought the Xmas set tat is supposed to be for my staff home!! haha... and i ordered pizza for them instead... not too bad hor....

Aunt Jo brought her dog Yuki along though she cant join in e fun... poor her was leashed to the door for e whole night no wonder she barks a lot....

it was a fun night... with lots of food and laughter... only mishap was Claudia was quite cranky, maybe cos of the amount of noise we are making... haha.. but lucky Aunt Jo's present kept her entertained for quite a while...

Merlion

My poor gal started her vomiting again... on mon night 230am, Daddy was abt to sleep but saw Claudia lying on her vomited food... Yucks... she must be too tired to wake us up oh poor thing... we woke her up to wash her... and her bedsheets....

On Tue night, when she was still in her yao lan... she vomited again.... all over the floor and herself... oh gosh... Mummy had to wash her and put her to bed... before washing everything and everywhere....

Last night was safe... hopefully same for tonight...

Wedding

We went to Daddy's cousin wedding buffet dinner at Spore Art Museum tis evening... quite a nice place but Mummy and Daddy was dying of hunger by the time we rushed there from work... e queue for food was too long for us, we ended up eating at Olio Dome... aiyo fainting from hunger, cant afford to wait... haha...

My happy family!! my kids enjoyed the open concept wedding dinner... no boundaries, freedom to roam around....

Ye² and Claudia

Super glue of the night... stick together for the whole night!!!

Tink she misses Mummy too much... she was with Ye² and Nai² without me till dinner time but she was crying " I wan mummy" for the whole day... tink tat almost drives Nai² crazy... haha... she was so happy to see me, cling onto me for dear life... Mummy cant even go toilet without her....

Evan looks so much like Daddy, I cant see a trace of me in him!! No wonder pple always say he is handsome... haha....

Finally managed to take a solo photo of my handsome boy, has been running around non stop..

Piggy Bank

Claudia used to snatch Evan's piggy bank... now Mummy bought her one too and she is always asking for coins....

cranky cranky

Claudia seems to be badly affected by Fri incident... she was crying throughout the whole night... Its not easy to bring her out on Sat morning... very very cranky.... nothing seems to please her!!!

But luckily she had a long and nice nap in the aft and tat change her mood.... All 3 of us slept tog cos Mummy is simply too tired... We slept till 6pm!!! haha... so refreshing....

Wat to do... Mummy slept less than 14 hours over 3 nights... energy level is zero!!! Looked like a panda now!! so sad... needs to go facial, massage and mani pedi to make it up... haha....

But its finally over!! Mummy have to resume duties soon... my kids have no home-cooked food for 2 weeks :(

Dora

Tired Mummy dragged herself to bring them out today... but dun tink I have the energy and patience to handle alone, given Claudia's crankiness... so got Ah Ma to help out... hehe.. my all-time supporter!!

Brought them to Parkway for some quick shopping and had lunch at Fish & Co, Evan's fav Fish & Chips... he said it is the best... Dora happened to be there but we din catch the show... just went to her small house to play for a while....

See how concentrated he is doing the colouring... he is learning to colour neatly within the lines... Good job son!!

Managed to capture Ah Ma in action... she is super camera-shy so very difficult to have her in my photos.... But she is too busy feeding Claudia to notice me... heehee...

On leave

Mummy took time off from duty as Mummy for 3 nights... but not for fun, its for work!!! Wed and Thur night I sneaked out after they slept, they were quite ok ....

Fri was the very bad one... I left Evan at in law place after school but he is ok afterall he is a big boy liao... he was very tired by the time Daddy picked him up at 10+ but feel asleep the moment he was on his bed...

Claudia was there since lunch time and dunno wat's wrong with her... maybe din see me for too long? When I reached home at 1.30am, she was sitting on Daddy's lap at the main door waiting for me!!! Her eyes were swollen and her voice was hoarse from too much crying... OMG... so poor thing...

Daddy said she was crying for me on and off since they reached home... Mummy quickly went for a quick shower, by the time I am done, she is asleep!!! She just wan to know I am around... oh my poor gal....

Winter wear

Mummy is getting prepared for our Macau trip in Jan... it will be winter time, my kids have never been to cold places except Genting... so I have to be more careful, especially with lots of pressure from the gan cheong spider Daddy...keep telling me its gonna be very cold for them... aiyo... stress me!!



its only 3 days, stingy Mummy dun wan to spend too much money on winter wear :P trying to source for cheap and good ones... bought tis set of gloves, scarf and hat for $13... see how excited they are trying it out... tink must buy 1 more set before they start fighting over it!!

Simple fun

Mummy got a box of free Huggies diaper from some lucky draw tat she cant even rem...but well who will reject freebies...hee hee....

Evan offered to help me pack all into my store room then I can hear laughter from my room... sure knows they are up to something... Bingo!! Mummy came out and saw both of them playing with e empty carton!!!
Aiyo... they sure can entertain themselves.... e box gonna burst soon...

I love u

I am usually sitting in front of my pc while putting kids to bed... Claudia will be in her "yao lan" next to me and Evan wil be on his bed near my table....

Claudia have been saying she dun wan "yao yao" tis few days... but if I wan her to fall asleep on her bed naturally, it will take me an hour lying next to her, Mummy is not ready for tat.... :)

Evan sometimes fall asleep very fast but can be very "lo so" at times... like today, he was talking and talking to me... until I asked him to keep quiet.... then he start telling me

Super glue gal

Claudia is Mummy's super glue or rather she needs lots of attention.... If I am alone with the 2 of them, she sure book all my time... I can't do anything alone with Evan at all...

When we wanted to do writing, she will take a pen and draw on his books... When we trying to do puzzle, she will mess up whatever we had done... When I trying to teach Evan something, she sure will sit on my lap and go "mummy mummy"... Aiyo... attention snatcher!!

Mummy tried to give her something to entertain herself before I goes to Evan.. but it simply cant work on her... she just wan to be by my side.... watch tv also need me to sit next to her... how i wish Daddy can be home every evening...

My fruity gal

Claudia is just so different from Evan, in terms of diet... She dun like to eat proper meals, always eat only that tiny little bit of rice/porridge... though its improving but still far from Mummy's expectations...

But there is something nutritious that she loves - fruits and veg!! She is more adventurous compared to Evan, she will try any fruits tat u give her... Today she had apple in school, came home I gave her watermelon and persimmons... after dinner she had papaya and jack fruit... Wat a variety in a day!!

She loves fruits !! bananas... longan... duku... pear... kiwi... durians... and anything green...

Little Men Show

We brought Evan to watch the "Little Men Show" at Compass Point on last Sunday... We were a bit late cos Mummy was too busy with work, almost forgot about it... :P

Luckily Daddy's shoulder was around for him to sit if not he cant see.. but was standing too near to speaker, he says its too loud and insist going back for the 4pm show...of cos we din..

Barney Day

Evan is feeling much better already, fever subsided!!! He is eating like normal and as active as normal too... Mummy is so glad!!

But Mummy wanted him to rest more so its Barney after Barney CD today, he seldom get to watch tv for so long.... Other than his 3 hr aft nap, most of the time was spent either watching Barney or playing with Lego.... as long as he gets enough rest and recover fast!!

Fever Fever

Evan complained abt headache in the morning and a slight fever started after his aft nap... Its been 15 months since he last had a fever so Mummy was somehow caught offguard.... but luckily I still have all his medicine on standby.... Its e 1st time that he is willing to put on the "forehead patch"..

But luckily he is still active and eating as normal... so hopefully he will be ok tom morning!!!

Swimming time

We went Geylang East swimming pool after tat and they have great fun.... Evan finally found the courage to enter the 1.1m pool!!! after much coaxing and persuading.... but Mummy din manage to take any photos cos scare my new camera spoil again :)

Claudia is a dare devil, she went into the 1.1m pool too with her hand float... then keep telling Daddy " Cannot hold me, see Mei² kick" haha.... maybe she will be a better swimmer than her Gor²

All 3 bosses were knocked out immediately when they are on their bed... while Mummy is busy updating her blog :) haha... Aunt Wendy u got me addicted too!!

Marina Barrage

Yeah... its our family day today!!! Evan has been waiting for it, he has been complaining why daddy have to work on sat... We went for breakfast at Telok Ayer Market then proceed to Marina Barrage... Its a hot hot day, nothing much there.... We just walked around and allowed the kids to run around in the big area....

There is a small water playground for kids, we tot Evan would be interested in it... But no no, his mind is set on going swimming... haha

Reading

Since long time ago, Evan loves to read books at this little corner of Geylang East Shop N Save.... He used to browse through the books only...but recently Mummy have to read at least 3 books before going off (squat till my legs numb)

He really treat it like a library... but only difference is Mummy had spent quite a bit buying books here...

Tooth Fairy

Mummy have a day off today cos got to bring Evan to watch play " Tooth Fairy" Its quite an interesting and entertaining show, he enjoyed it...

After tat, Mummy picked Claudia herself (according to Daddy's wish)... Was supposed to put them to bed for aft nap but guess I fell asleep first...haha... but feel much refreshed after the power nap!!!
