Energy Draining

My little prince has been giving me headaches for the past week... :( Doing all sorts of things that I dun wan him to.... very stubborn!!! A naturally very active boy, he have plenty of excess energy.... There are times when he is sooo lovable and sensible but there are also times when he is rebellious (which is NOW)... Mummy hopes it will go away soon....

My little princess has been vying for my attention.... everything that I done for Evan, I must do the same thing for her .... She just loves to whine in front of me, asking for my 100% attention....

I told them why not cut Mummy into 2 so that they have one part each and I gestured cutting vertically... But Evan said " No Mummy have to cut like that (signalling horizontally) and I will take the upper half" Hahaha.... kids....

Though its a tough and tiring route to be a 24/7 sahm.... but the satisfaction and contention is worthwhile!!! Being able to witness all their growing up stages and milestones is a blessing.... afterall it only happen once a lifetime....

Speech N Drama

Evan had his mini performance on stage last Sunday.... He loves to be on stage but can't speak loud enough... what happen to my loud speaker at home??? His volume is always so high but on stage, he really speak like a little meow meow.... hahaha....

Baking session

We did cookies baking on sat at Aunt Sher's place... with 6 little pairs of hands!!! Everybody have a chance to put in one ingredient...



All seated quietly waiting patiently for Aunt Sher to give out the dough....


Claudia is very serious with cutting the dough... tink she treats it more like play dough... hahaha..


Evan is very serious too.... make sure all his cookies are nicely cut out....

The cookies ended up a bit too hard but all the kids enjoyed the session!! Mummy's camera battery is flat, din take any photos of the final product.... forgot I still have a camera phone!!

Wat a bad day!!!

Our car is not feeling well..... one of its spare part is faulty since last week though it can still move on the road, just can't on the aircon for too long.... Dun ask me wats e exact prob as Mummy me is an mechanic idoit!! Daddy had tried to explain and warned me the do's and dont's before we repair it (suppose to be done tomorrow evening)

Stubborn me can't endure the hot weather today and insisted to turn on the aircon.... so my dear car decided to punish me by dying on us!!! This morning I was still bragging to Daddy that our car likes me more so won't act on me.....Of all days, it has to be today when we have a dinner appt with my family..... Oh dear.... seeing the black faces of my hubby and daddy, I just feel like digging a hole and hide somewhere....

Feel so guilty to trouble everybody...... 3 hungry men trying to start up the car in the midst of a bad congestion caused by us!! 2 curious kids are excited over something which is not exciting to me at all!! Jui² gf have to come and pick us up.... by the time we are seated for our dinner, its almost 9pm!!! more like supper time... Lucky we can still enjoyed our dinner :)

Now when i am seated typing this frustrating post, I suddenly remember I have lots of errands to run tomorrow.... and I need a CAR!!! oh gosh.... I really hate myself today!!!

Meet the teachers session

Today is the quarterly Meet the teachers session and its our 1st one too....

Claudia's teachers were full of praises for her!!! She seems to be very well behaved in school... attentive, obedient, fast learner, loves the music and movement time.... At her age, we just wan her to enjoy herself and she definitely is!!!

Evan's teachers have both praise and complain :( He is a eager learner and pick up things fast.... however he is very active and will throw tantrums occasionally.... but lucky she said he will calm down and apologise in a short while.... not too bad.... I find that he kind of like his chinese teacher cos he has shown great improvement in his Chinese and more willing to speak and write chinese character....

Zoo Zoo Zoo

We went to the zoo today (again)... well got some free tickets from Evan's milk powder mah.... seems to be going quite often hor.... hee hee... 3 visits in a year!!!

As usual, 1st stop is Kidzworld Rainforest.... my kids seems to associate the water play with zoo, its a must-go.... hahaha.... but tis time Daddy is around.... so my duty is to walk around taking photos and video,... haha...

Claudia says she is tired.... so wanted to have a rest.... Tis cheeky gal.... mood quite good so started doing all different poses for me to take photos....

Evan says he wanna do it on his own... Daddy was afraid that he will get stuck in the middle with no strength.... I am surprised Evan is able to pull himself to and fro on the boat.... well done!!




You can hear Daddy getting more excited than Evan, must be afraid that he has to go into the dirty water to save his son.... hahaha.... he makes Claudia panic for her brother too.... hahaha....

This is our 3rd visit to the zoo but 1st time getting a good seat for the Splash show.... finally... no need to be squeezed at the corner.... We sat in the centre and can see everything clearly...

Today finally done something different, we managed to make it for the Giraffe feeding....Its the 1st time the kids come so close to a big animal !!! (other than those dogs and cats)

Over slept

Not Mummy but Evan.... haha... He usually wakes up before Claudia for their aft nap... Today somehow he slept till 5pm!!! and the moment he opened his eyes and saw his sister awake (actually just one min earlier) he was so angry with himself!!

Mummy finds it amusing.... haha... but of cos can't tell him its funny cos I wan him to stop his nonsense.... he actually cried and was so upset just bcos he wakes up later... It took him almost 5 mins to accept the fact and settle his mood.... aiyo wats the great deal.... How I wished i can be the last to wake up and the first to go to bed everyday.... :)

Wedding Dinner

We went to Malaysia to attend my cousin's wedding over the weekend.... My kids had so much fun... especially during the wedding dinner....

Their wedding dinner is sure to have karaoke session throughout the entire dinner... Tat day we sit so near to the stage that I really find it irritating :( But my kids seems to find it entertaining... haha... When my Yi-zhang went to sing on stage, my kids were dancing for him.... hahaha...

My little Princess Claudia is the gem of all the men in my family.... They pampered her sooooo much...

Evan is a busy butterfly flying around the tables.... ALONE... chit chat with everybody tat he knows... like a big adult....

Hai... they actually had lots of fun at the playground near my aunt's place.... but it became a small tragedy.... They were both playing on the swing... then Claudia came down and walked straight into Evan's swing which was fast and high !!! My heart dropped when i saw how hard she fell, hate myself for not grabbing her in time.... (though should be Daddy's fault cos he was with her :P).... Well lucky she hit the rubber mat, not the concrete, so only abrasion on her cheeks but she had a bad scare....

Silly Mummy told the kids there is a pool in the hotel when we were there... and they bugged me for 2 days.... cos we simply can't find the time to bring them to the pool (too busy with catching up with relatives and eating)... and I forgot their swimwear.... heeeheee....

Finally managed to squeeze some time for a swim at the pathetic pool just before we checked out..... lucky me... if not Evan gonna nag at me for a long time....

This is the best scene.... both sleeping soundly... energy drained off entirely.... hahaha....

Wet Market

Evan used to go for weekly marketing with Ah Ma when he was very young, maybe 1-2 yrs old... Recently he will go once in a while with me... so he roughly knows which are the stalls that I frequent...

Today after picking him up from school, he said he wan fishball bee hoon for dinner.... however the carpark at the market is full so he suggested he will go buy fishball while I wait in the car with Claudia...

Well... I decided to let him try... heehee... and he did it!!! He managed to go to the stall to get his fishballs and come back to the basment carpark!! Well Done !! Daddy was very surprised to hear that, suddenly realised his son is really growing fast....

Diaper training

Mummy thinks Claudia is rather slow in diaper training but she dun seems ready for it, she will ask for her diaper... Evan was trained at about 20 mths and by 3 years 2 mths, he off it totally (including night)...

Mummy had tried to let her use toilet (she say scare fall down) and potty (she say backside pain).... Today Mummy suddenly decided to let her go without diaper and bring her to "shh shh" every half hour.... 1st try nothing, 2nd try still nothing... but 5 mins later she passed urine on the floor.... ok fine no big deal...

But as I was busy cleaning the floor, she came to me with a fantastic news... she passed motion on the floor in another room!!! and stepped on it!!! Aiyo faintz!! At that point, I regretted trying it today!! Make my already very tired body more tired.... :(

Pets

Evan's school learning theme for this month is Pets.... he has been asking me a lot of questions about pets recently...



This is my mum's neighbour's dog, Xiao Bai, I tink she is the best trained dog that I have ever seen... Very quiet and well behaved, she can sit still at the void deck without disturbing anybody even when the auntie is not around.... My kids loves to play with her


A few days ago, when Claudia was busy playing with her... Evan suddenly asked me to buy a dog for him!!! He says he wan a pet too and start to nag when I rejected his request... Why? why? Oh no... no way am I going to have a dog at home... I already have big,medium and small babies to look after...I am not going to add one to my collection...hahaha

Hectic Weekend

It has been a very hectic and tiring weekend for Evan... he did not nap for both days which rarely happens.... Though he slept early at 9pm on Sat but tonight was a bit later cos we went out....

The car journey from in law place to our place is less than 10 mins... He was soundly asleep in the car in no time.... oh boy he is real tired... no good :( Daddy had to carry him home and he is still drinking his milk.... hahaha.... Mummy is so amused... just like a big baby....

He din even stirred when Claudia was jumping on his bed, wanting to wake him up.... haha... sleep like a log.....

Happy Day

Today Mummy and kids wake up with a happy mood.... Actually din plan to go anywhere but I dressed them up nicely... heehee... good mood mah.... Such a coincidence, Ye² called to say we will be dining out tonight.... hahaha... then we will get to go window shopping.... Yeah! says Evan.... (Recently have been having our weekly sunday dinner at home)

But very fast my mood was dampen by a staff who called in to report sick.... Aiya meaning I have to work today.... so sad... So as usual, Evan stayed put at the store till we knocked off.... he simply refused to go back to in law place without us... :(

We went Plaza Sing for dinner, Sakae Teppanyaki... Evan's suggestion!!! hahaha... 1st time he get to decide and he din chose Mac... lucky us.... He always loves this place but its Claudia's 1st visit... Both of them were so fascinated with the chef's cooking and thus all of us enjoyed our dinner peacefully.... This is the 1st time Mummy sees them fighting over food (other than snacks and sweets)....


Maybe its a mummy's basic instinct... Since I have both of them, what I wan to eat is no longer important... Its what they like and what they want...a comfortable environment for them.... So it always the more child-friendly restaurant if I get to chose, the quality of the food becomes secondary unless its my nights off.... but this place is not too bad...

Cranky Day

For some unknown reason, Claudia has been cranky since early in the morning.... so Mummy brought them for Mac breakfast and swimming... hoping to inprove little princess's mood...

Well she enjoyed herself.... but was still quite cranky... Mummy had a buffet lunch appointment with Ah Ma and Yi-po.... In order to have a peaceful and enjoyable meal for everybody, decided to leave her at Nai²'s house at very last minute... oops so bad hor... but I only decided to give up at the very last minute... my intention was to bring her along.... Mmm... sorry gal....

So brought Evan along for the lunch at Safra Tampines.... heehee.. its really much much easier to eat without Claudia... After lunch, Evan wanted to have a look at their swimming pool.... But upon seeing it, he decided to swim AGAIN... took off his shirt and pants, went in with his underwear... hahaha.... This silly boy had fun in the pool on his own....

While we were all chit-chatting, Evan entertained himself inside the squash court.... running around for no reason.... hahaha... good exercising....

When we went back to Nai²'s house, Claudia was much better after a good aft nap.... but its Evan's turn to be cranky... he must be too tired after e 2 swims... so put them to bed at 9pm sharp tonight... now peaceful night for Mummy!!!

Vicks on the feet

Long time ago, someone told me applying Vicks on kid's feet and wearing socks at night will stop their night cough... it works the other time...

These few nights, for no reason, my 2 little rascals wants to do that when they go to bed... They are not having cough (touch wood) but they just wan to do it.... So well we have been doing that for nights.... Maybe its comfortable for them... hahaa....

Haircut

Evan have no problem going to the salon now... he will sit still throughout.... Today when I looked at him having haircut, suddenly remembered those days when he was about 1-2 years old.... It was a torture to bring him to Aunt Alice's salon (his fav hairstylist then).... We need to hold him, catch him, play with him and most of the time the hairstylist have to walked around to cut his hair... He will start off with the apron around him, then without... then take out shirt...hahaha.... such a regret that I din take photos then :(

Baking Time

Its been a decade since Mummy last baked... haha... all skills rusty liao.... Upon Evan's request, I bought a very simple oven and attempted cookies baking... But on the safe side, I used a ready mixed recipe.... haha....


haha... He was all excited about it... taking part in every step... the cookies turned out to be a big failure... edible but not presentable.... haha... The spacing between the cookies have to be 2 inches but Mummy forgot and put them at 2cm gap.... haha... so it became a giant cookie !!!

But well, we enjoyed the process.... and we will definitely try again.... heehee

Swimming class 2

Evan had his 2nd swimming lesson today.... he did very well, Mummy is very happy with his progress... His fren Dana was not there but he was alright with it, seems like he is enjoying his class...

Today he is able to kick around holding the board without Uncle Joe holding him...He seems to overcome his phobia and Mummy tink his kicks are quite pro leh... hahaha... Though he keep saying he is tired but everytime Uncle Joe asked him to go 2 more rounds, he will go.... hahaha... trying to get my sympathy....

They swam for 1.5 hrs to make up for last week lesson.... oh gosh he was very tired and hungry...

My little singer

Claudia loves to sing... Today finally managed to capture her on video... both English and Chinese songs !! Hahahaha....

Playground time

I brought the kids to the playground this evening... Evan brought his bicycle and Claudia insisted to bring her "duck"... well the story is always the same, she die die wan to bring but after 2 mins, she dun wan to sit anymore and Mummy ended up carrying it...haiz....

Why? cos its a tiring job to ride on the duck... haha... a lot of leg power required...

It was actually an enjoyable evening until 2 spoilt bred dampen our mood!! sorry to call them names but I was really angry with the 2 boys and even more with their mums...

Evan always love companion so he was happy to cycle with 2 other boys (tink they are a bit younger based on their size).... so I let them be... Halfway through, one of them tried to stop Evan's bike by standing in front of it so of cos Evan hit onto him... I would say its a very minor accident, the boy was not hurt....

But to show his anger, he actually chased and tried to hit Evan with his hand.... Fine I am ok with it afterall its boys play... Anyway we were about to go home... but as we walked pass the boys, he actually throw a water bottle at Evan !! I shouted at him but he continued to pick some stones from the floor to throw at us!!!

And u guess where are their mums all this while? They were sitting at a bench nearby, happily talking without noticing wat their boys are doing.... OMG I called out to them then they waked up from their "dream" ...

I told them wat happened and they just stared at me blankly (the boys were still trying to throw some rubbish at us!!) Then I realised they are PRC !!! Damn... even after I explained in Mandrain, they din bother to say sorry, just said" Never mind, forget it" I was liked Huh?! I can't be bothered to talk to them anymore....

1st Dentist Visit

Mummy brought Evan for his 1st dental visit yest.... nothing wrong with his teeth yet but just wanna bring him for a check.... Dr Ben did a check and polishing for him.... He enjoys it so much !!

The clinic is very child-friendly... equipped with a TV too... though Evan was more interested in the chair and equipment rather than the TV.... Dr Ben said his teeth was quite well maintained and Mummy felt so pai seh cos I will forget to brush his teeth once in a while... heehee...

1st Swimming class

Finally!! Mummy had started his swimming class.... He was much better than I expected... I was afraid that he will whine when he is in pool (like wat he did in MMI)... but he did not!! He will wave and say Hi to me occasionally.... and was very happy in the water.... maybe bcos he is having lesson with his ex-classmate Dana....

He followed the coach's instruction readily... blowing bubbles, kicking, putting his head into the water.... Mummy is really glad to see him learning.... Well Done Son.... but the lesson ended much earlier cos it started to rain halfway through.... :( but its a good start !!

Gardening

This is Evan's 1st try at gardening.... Mummy needs to change some flower pots today and decided to let him have a try.... He is not afraid of the dirt and enjoys it.... but of cos the mess is worse than usual.... haha.... hope my plants dun die after today....

TV + milk

My kids are not really TV kids... they dun watch much... but when they do, they are very engrossed in it... especially Evan, his eyes, brain, soul and everything is practically absorbed into the TV.... he can't hear u, can't see u unless u go right in front of him....


But 3 mins into the show, they are sure to ask for milk.... it seems to come in a package... haha...

Mushroom farm

We went to the mushroom farm after animal resort since its nearby.... Evan dun like to eat mushroom and tink he will fear this food even more after the visit... :( He find it scary to eat something tat looks so "dirty"... oops.... wrong visit....

But while we were paying for our fresh mushrooms... e 2 of them were reading and discussing about mushroom... as if they can really read the books... haha...

My wild horse

I have been calling Claudia a wild horse... haha... but its really no joke... put her in any crowded places, she will just dashed her way through.... it does not matter if anyone is following her.... Mummy is always like a monkey chasing after her... no image left ah....

The best part is when she decided to turn around and cant find anyone with her, she dun panic or cry like other children... she calmly back tracked the route she has taken, slowly looking around... faintz!!! tats why she is not worried about dashing around bcos she is not afraid at all!!! She can stop and chit chat with other people when we are not around (of cos I am hiding behind some pillar)
