Fire station

Evan is always interested in fire engines... when we used to send him to SK for school, we will pass by tis Tamp fire station... and almost every morning, we have to drive into the slip road just to let him have a look at the fire engines before moving off....
So have been wanting to bring him to Central fire station for their weekly open house on sat.... finally did it today despite the burning weather.... We were drenched in our perspiration after the visit!!!

There are lots of ang mohs.... seems more like a tourist open house.... but it was quite interesting, it will be better if they can bring us for a ride in the fire engine... heehee


Walked around the station, sat in the fire engines and play pretend, saw the firemen slide down the pole from 3 storey high, went on a ride in the crane to 4 storey high..... its an eye opener for them.....

They went for a 2nd ride without me!!! Brave sia.... hahaha

My manja Princess

Claudia had her last injection yest.... The most expensive one though its not compulsory - Pneumococcal Vacine.... We decided to let her have it just in case, anyway Evan had it too....

Maybe its been a long time since she had her last injection (she has been brave all the while) or maybe bcos Evan had described the scary scenario that she will be experiencing before she went in, she screamed at the sight of the needle!!! hahaha....

She need not struggled as it was over too fast.... but she whined non stop to the carpark....

"Mummy my leg very pain"
"Mummy carry me, I cannot walk anymore"
"Mummy I dun like to see this doctor"
"Mummy sayang my leg, very pain"

She went on and on, can't remember the no of times she whine about it... I dun know if its really tat painful or she is just trying to get my sympathy...

Anyway, she stopped when I bought her a cold drink and have a break at the playground..... Her leg was perfectly alright when she climbed up the stairs and came down the slide again and again..... so I guess its not tat bad afterall...hahaha

Spelling

I was very sure that he knows all his words well, I was so confident that he will get it all correct...

So when Evan told me he only managed to get 1 word correct, I tot he was just joking with me.... When realised its not, I was so disappointed though I know I should not as that will be too stressful for him... but well, I do not know wat went wrong, he can spell all the words when I asked him again....

I guess its just mental block... of cos I din scold him but I guess my disappointment was written on my forehead, Evan said "Mummy I promised I will try hard next week"...

Well well... we shall work hard together.... Its ok son.....

Healthy Kids

To me, its a blessing that my kids are healthy and well.... I am not particular about how they look (they are always beautiful in my eyes)... I dun care if pple always comment tat they are skinny (who cares as long as they are eating and sleeping well)

I always feel so emotional when i hear about kids falling sick, minor or major, its always a mental torture to the parents. I had my fair share of all these mental torture and pray hard that it will never come back again.....

Today Mummy woke up from the wrong side of bed and with a heavy head... mood was just not right.... so I guess my tolerance level was lower :(

Evan asked for something (I can't really rem wat is it) and I said no... After a while, he sent tis to the kitchen and walked away... I was surprised... Tis is the 1st time he gave me a note like tat.... but oops it does not seems good....

But when I got to the room, he can't rem why is he angry with me..... hahaha.... I hope the next time I get a note from him, it will be a happy face.... heehee

Marketing at JB

We went on a one day trip to JB with Ah Ma and 5th Yi-po last sat, mainly for marketing and to visit Small Yi-po... haha... We bought tons of fishes fresh from the sea and "smuggled" 6 chicken home (I know seafood is allowed but tink chicken are not)...hee hee

The fishes are sooo fresh tat we cant resist buying..... Daddy said we went crazy... haha... This is only a portion of wat we bought!!! My main purchase is the 5kg Ngor fish tat is for my kids!!!

Seems like a lot but actually when you cut it up, it is not tat much.... so we will be having curry fish head, fish soup, fish porridge, steamed fish for the following week... haha... but it doesn't matters cos kids love it!!! Tink maybe its fresh from sea so its still very tasty and nice even though we put it in freezer for weeks.....

Claudia was so fascinated... she has not seen such big fishes before.... She keep touching the fishes and even tried to help us choose.... haha....
They were so engrossed looking at the uncle cutting our huge fish into smaller pieces.... Its quite an experience for them!!! They used to be sitting in the car waiting while we buy, tis is their 1st time joining in the whole process....

Oh not forgetting our king of the fruits - Durian!!! Din take photos of tat cos busy eating... haha... but we din manage to get the ultra nice ones so we will be back again!!! hahaha....

Spelling all correct!!

Yes Yes!! Evan got it all correct tis week.... haha... Mummy is so happy, all my efforts paid off.... it really used up all my patience!! and I guess it boost his confidence!! He was telling everybody that he knows all his spelling words... Son Jia You!!!

Family Day

Daddy is off and kids have no school today so we decided to bring them to Botanic Gardens Jacob Ballas Children Garden.

But its a wrong decision!! Its tooooo hot to be in the garden, can't appreciate anything in front of our eyes... hahaha... Mummy and Daddy keep looking for shade to hide.... The kids played for a while, last stop was at the small water play area to cool them down and we gave up!!

Daddy decided that air con place is the best place to go in this kind of weather before he got sunburn and we got heatstroke.... haha... so we change venue to Fidgets!!! What a wise decision.... cos he get to read papers and enjoy air con and drink there....

As usual, the kids is the happiest lot.... they get to eat, drink and play!!! They had lots of fun.... as its a weekday aft, we almost had the whole place to ourselves except for a group who is having party there... (Evan ask if he can have his 5th bday party there... hee)

But a small accident happened to Evan.... He was coming down the fast slide and this boy was sitting in the middle of the next lane.... Suddenly he put his hand/leg over to Evan's lane intentionally/accidentally, causing Evan to flip to his side and hit his lips on the side rail!!! Mummy witnessed the whole episode cos I was waiting for him below but it really happened too fast that I couldn't tell which is which.....

His lips was swollen and red, his tears started to roll.... The boy just sat there do nothing, say nothing though his maid keep asking him to say sorry.... I was all prepared to ignore the whole issue afterall it could be an accident cos I can't tell if he did it purposely...(at that point I am more concerned if he broke his teeth) But he suddenly tell me " He should know how to watch out wat" I was super angry lor, he hurt someone and yet tink that its not his fault!!! Din even have the basic courtesy to apologise!!!

Of cos I told him off straight in the face but cant be bother to talk too much cos he won't get it anyway....his mum was with a group of tai-tai drinking coffee.... Sometimes I wonder if I should teach Evan how to retaliate in this situation... of cos not anything physical.... but at least not just sit there and cry, wat will happen if I did not see wat happen.... at least know how to scold the boy despite his pain???

Housework

is not my friend... haha

Though I was taught how to do all things since young but seldom have the chance to "practice"... heehee... during those days when we were staying at my parents' pl, I hardly have to do anything.... haha... praises to my mum!!!

To me, doing housework depends on my mood.... so my house can be very messy at times... haha... lucky hubby is not too particular about it (except cooking)

Yest I was so in the mood that I spend 4 hours cleaning, scubbing and packing my house... and din feel tired till I woke up tis morning and realise my bones are complaining!!!

My freedom!!

Recently kids have been very very close to Daddy... they will even chose him over me... sob sob..

I am able to go out for dinner, coffee, drinks and supper in peace!!! no more crying phonecalls, no more crying gal waiting for me at the door in the middle of the night, no more panicky Daddy (he can now handle them alone with ease)... HURRAY!!!

The air feel so different when I am alone... heehee... so unstressful though I will still be worried if Daddy can handle their meals and every needs... but I have learnt to let go, anyway he knows my do's and dont's....

Miss swimming class

Evan will not be having swim class for 2 weeks cos his coach went for reservice.... He keep asking me if he can go for class tomorrow and said he will miss it.... of cos!!! cos he always have fun playing with Dana and Faith....

Spelling = Mummy's headache

Evan started having spelling on every friday in April and it almost drives me crazy.... I felt that the words are too chim for him, it is soooo difficult to teach him 5 difficult words in a week... His spelling list includes words like magazines, newspaper, internet, computer, printer.....

As I really can't come to terms with the spelling list and I din wan to stress him too much, I din really go all the way out to teach him.... I will make sure he can spell 1 or 2 words of the list and thats it... some of his classmates can get all right, some can't spell a single word....

Last week he can spell "stars, moon, shining, world" before going to school... but he only managed to spell 2 of them in school.... Eh actually I was kind of disappointed...

Today I started to teach him the spelling list and within 2 hours, he seems to get it all into his head!! I was surprised, is the list simpler? hopefully he can still rem all of them by then...

Actually I dun understand why must K1 have spelling on a weekly basis.... we used to have such carefree preschool life.... haiz... kids nowadays are under so much pressure..... and they are going to start ting xie in July, oh plus 5 chinese words every week??!!?!

My mother's day Celebration

I never know I can loiter in CP for 6 hours with my kids, while waiting for Daddy to ko!!! WOW!!

We spend quite a bit of time at this art n craft place.... This is Claudia's 1st try and of cos I did most of the work.... But she is proud to tell everybody she colour it herself.... hahaha

Then we went for lunch, to the library, window shopping for a while... and its almost 6 hours spent in that small shopping mall.... My kids were fantastic and makes my day easy and stress-free....We enjoyed ourselves in this very familiar mall.....

But when we went out for dinner with in laws, it went haywired!!! Evan was whining constantly and very mischievious, Mummy had a very stressful dinner :( Maybe he is tired(cos no aft nap) or hungry... I dun know...:(

But surprisingly, Claudia was very cooperative.... I guess she surprised all.... haha... she is usually the one to whine and e difficult one to handle... But Mummy was in the mood to take lots of photos... haha... to divert my frustration.... though din capture any nice ones except for this "ugly" and "sad" ones....

I tried very hard to get a nice close up photo of Princess Claudia for Ye² and tis is the best that I have got for the night... wat a radiant smile...

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I am not very particular about all tis occasions... afterall throughout my growing years, we do not celebate, my mum always says as long as we are happy and filial, there is no need to....

But I will receive a card from Evan every year cos he will make one in school... I believe this is the first one that he did it on his own.... He said he made it with "little" help from teacher (dun know how little is his little... haha)

No matter how little, all the words that he has written on his own is enough for me :) Son, I will tell u the same thing, as long as u are healthy and well-behaved, its enough to make me happy!!

Claudia gave me one too... but as expected, she told me teacher made for her... haha...

Getting wet in the sea...

What have I been up to for the past week? eh actually I also dun know leh... seems busy but dunno busy with wat??

Mummy brought the kids to ECP on Sat... It was the perfect weather!!! sunny but not hot.... super windy... We had a quick picnic and off they go to the sand and sea!!


They decided to get themselves all wet cos there are lots of children swimming.... The tide was very high and Mummy was quite worried... so din dare to read my papers cos have to keep my eyes glued to them....

This boy is no longer scared of the seawaves... enjoying himself....

Looking at her back view, suddenly realised she is growing up fast.... my little crying baby has grow so tall!!! and the crying spells are getting milder and lesser... :)

Swim swim swim

What is the best thing to do on a hot day?? SWIMMING!!! the pool sure can cool your body heat.... but the sun will make us more tanned... hahaha

Me brought the kids swimming at Geylang East in the morning....(No photos cos I have to watch over both of them alone) In the evening, we went swimming with Daddy again!!! The kids sure love the water, seeing them having fun brightens up my day :)

Scooter...

Evan had bugged me for a long time to buy a scooter for him... Mummy din really like the idea so has been delaying it.... hee... but finally gave in today....

A Hot day!!!

It is almost mission impossible to have both of them looking at my camera at the same time!!! We had some sun and fun at ECP today... It is extremely HOT but luckily the wind is very strong so not too bad....

The best place to go next is of cos Parkway!!! for the air con!!! Had our lunch at Fish & Co (The best Fish n Chips in town!!!) and did some grocery.... and they happen to have tis Paddleboat with $30 spent in the mall...

Evan went for 2 times!! and had great fun under the HOT HOT sun.... poor Mummy also have to stand under the hot sun to take photos..... Aiyo.... BURNT!!!

Little Vainpot

Today Mummy caught tis little vain gal.... trying on Jui²'s cap, looking into the mirror and smiling to herself!!! hahaha.... so cute....

I love sports car!

Evan is a car lover... he always tell us he gonna buy a Lamboghini for us when he grows up.... Today we saw one at the car park and they took a photo with it....

Ah Ma told him it will cost lots of money to buy that... he actually told her he will work hard and save all his money till he has money to buy it.... hahaha.... Son its not so easy.... but Mummy will be waiting for this day!!!

Crocs Crazy!!!

For a long long time, I do not buy Crocs for my kids after all those escalator accident, feel very put off by it.... until recently, we simply can't find a durable pair of slippers for Evan... from cny till now, he has already worn out 2 pairs of slippers!!! and its not those market cheapo type lor....

This slipper king dun really like to wear shoes unless necessary.... then Mummy suddenly tot of Crocs.... tinking if its time for him to own his 1st pair...

Coincidentally there was a big sale for Crocs at the Metro expo sale... Mummy's shopaholic nature came out!!! I bought not 1... not 2 but 3 crocs for them each!!!! Cos it is only $20 per pair!!! But I bought in various sizes so I guess I can stop buying their shoes for at least a year.... hahaha......

Seeing how excited they are, choosing and trying the shoes makes my day :) (No time to take photos cos too crowded there)

Of cos din forget to buy one for myself :) Used lots of time and effort to dig out one that is the correct size for Daddy (you better wear it though u are not a Crocs supporter)... I am very happy with Claudia today, she let me shop in peace!!! For the 1st time I tink, din have to play catching with her....
