Long story

This will be the longest series of posting.... cos doing some major change to my eyesight tomorrow so will try not to go online for too long for the time being.... heehee.....

Have been educating Evan abt e importance of $$, must save $$, cannot waste $$.... It seems to take effect, here is e conversation :

Mummy : I am going to do an operation on my eyes..
Evan : Need money a not?
Mummy : Yes of cos...
Evan : Then dun do lah.... Mummy must save $$
Mummy : :(

Anyway Friday night was the 1st time Mummy hit Claudia with a cane... haiz.... Bcos she drew on my wall AGAIN !!!! Previously always hit her using my hand and tell her No No, she seems to understand but din really register it in her mind..... Cane was my last resort, hit twice on her palm and of cos she cried.... Kept repeating my words to her and hopefully this time she really really really remember it...

Singapore Flyer

Ye² got some offer tickets for Spore Flyer ($10 inclusive of dinner) So of cos all of us went !!! But actually quite disappointing... its only to see Spore scenery which is not really tat fantastic lor....

Evan 4th Bday Part 1

We had a mini birthday celebration for Evan at Ah Ma's house on Sat night cos it was his lunar birthday. We had steamboat and a small cake....

Wat an expensive Swim

Brought the kids to Sengkang swimming pool on Friday night... Mummy lah, wanted to take photos now camera not working already !!! Actually it was alright bcos Mummy usually dun get into the pool, just be my kids personal lifeguard by the poolside.
But Claudia wanted to play this slide so Mummy have to catch her from below... Slide was too fast for her... Splash !!! Tats it, gonna send it for repair... dunno how much damage...

Daddy and his little princess

The exciting slide, like the one at East coast Big Splash. Evan actually dare to play the green one from the right !!! We were surprised cos he is not an adventurous boy, but of cos one of us have to catch him from below cos the pool is too deep for him....

Zzzz.....

As usual, Mummy put the kids to bed at 9pm... but last night this little rascal insisted on waiting for Mummy to finish her work and sleep tog with him. He lie near the doorway and keep looking at me whos in e living hall..... soon he fell asleep.....

Mummy needs a GOOD night sleep badly... For the past 2 nights, have been tortured by little princess for no reason!!!!! She slept at 9pm as usual, 1st night she woke up at 12am, say "Poo Poo"... I tot she is dreaming but the smell is too strong. Reluctantly Mummy woke up to wash her backside and then tried to put her back to bed. But she simply refused to sleep!!!! She drank 4 bottles of milk and finally fell asleep at 3am... before i know it, she is awake crying at 4.30 am again!!! Oh gosh another bottle of milk and dunno wat time she fell asleep again cos Mummy dozed off first... Best part is she woke up at 7am in the morning!!!! Arghhhh!!!!

Last night was similar, except for the poo poo.... Really dunno wats wrong with her... almost wanted to hit her!! Is it so difficult to sleep soundly at night??? Why can't she sleep like Evan??? When can my good night sleep come??

New Shoes for Princess

Mummy bought this pair of shoes for Claudia one month ago during Isetan sale for $14 only... cute hor... actually wanted to keep till CNY cos she got plenty of hand-me-down from Evan but her feet is growing fast so can't keep anymore le...

Is my food coming?

Brought little princess to hawker centre for lunch, she sat there waiting patiently for Mummy to buy food.... GOOD gal!!!

Ah Ma House

Evan spent his 1st 1.5 years staying at Ah Ma house, 2nd 1.5 years staying at home but going over 3-4 days for dinner. For the past year, ever since Mummy started to be a cooking woman, we dun go over so often, at the most once a week for that 2-3 hours.

For the past 3 months was worst, tink Evan only go over once a month for dinner. Ah ma only get to see him when she bring Claudia down to the car, only for a short Hi- Bye session... Till yest then I realise how much Evan misses his Ah Ma.

We went over for dinner and he simply refuses to go home. Even insist Mummy just go home with Claudia and pick him up the next morning, this has never happen before....Actually after Claudia was born, he was always trying to get Ah Ma's attention. Always bring her away somewhere and tried to be alone with her, hoping that Claudia wont get in the way... Hee hee he was jealous of little mei-mei for quite some time over Ah Ma's attention. Of cos no longer jealous now but seems like he still misses Ah ma's house a lot...

2 Little Babes

Since baby, Evan is always in my store. Used to put him on the pram when I have to work for a few hours, he would just sit there and smile at everybody who walk pass him. When he knows how to walk, he will just roam around the counter and storeroom but never get out of our sight. When he knows how to eat sweets and choco, he will chose wat he wan, get $$ from daddy (who will never reject him) and queue up to pay.

A few months back, he started to learn how to stock up drinks in the fridge and tried to help. I would say he did quite a great job, topping up drinks that he can reach. But that attract quite a bit of curious looks from customers.

Yest he was there after school again. Daddy and Mummy are busy at the counter and he decided he wan to do something different. He open up my cupboard and took out the sweets to top up. mmm.... No one has ever taught him that before, wonder how he knows about it... But being a chatterbox attracting lots of attention, I am worried one day customer would complain why is a kid in the store :(

Haiz.... for Claudia, since baby she refuse to let me work in the store. She would cry and cry, there were times when I have to carry her while I do paperwork... When she knows how to walk, she will walk around the WHOLE store and Mummy is always busy looking for her. Once she actually walk out of the store and gave Mummy a great scare!!! When she knows how to eat sweets and choco, she will take and open it up herself..

Now she loves Hottis, she will take a cup and shout "Mum Mum" till someone help her to get it. But that small cup of Hottis is the only way to keep her seated while Mummy settle her work.

Folks can u see the BIG difference? Thats why Daddy always "chase" Mummy to bring Claudia out of the store but Evan is always welcome in the store....

Sparklers!!!

Both have been very well behaved today, making my life much easier cos Daddy is at work. Both finished dinner fast, din mess up while painting, pack up their materials after that, din fight, din cry... so their reward for the night? Playing sparklers at the playground !!!


Both went to bed before 9pm... Fantastic right?? Mummy can finally have some Me time tonight, hopefully Claudia dun wake up crying again... pray hard.....

NO NO

Little Princess Claudia is finally on the road to recovery... still have a little bit of phelgm and cough but definitely much better... at least she sleep better in the night... Mummy was being tortured by her for the past week, her bad temper can even show in the middle of the night...

Mummy woken up by her cries...

Mum : Mummy here, Mummy sayang... (Tried to touch her head)
Clau : NO!!!! (Pushing away my hand)
Mum : Milk Milk?
Clau : NO!!!!
Mum : Mummy carry?
Clau : NO!!!!
Mum : Mummy put you yao yao?
Clau : NO!!!!
Mum : Mummy put oil?
Clau : NO!!!!
Mum : Sleep Mummy's bed?
Clau : NO!!!!
Mum : Ok then Mummy sleep

Its no joke lor, she really shout NO!!! During the 2 nights when Daddy was also sick, I was trying very hard to keep her quiet but failed, Daddy also woke up..... This can go on for the whole night on and off, thats why Mummy has not been sleeping much for the past week.... tiring sia....
Lucky Evan can sleep through the night now, he will wake up once to pass urine. Usually he will just go toilet then back to sleep on his own but sometimes he will call me and then squeeze onto our bed... I am so proud of him, he can go without diapers at night at 3 yrs 2 mths old and do it alone before 4 yrs old!!! When will Claudia sleep through the night???

Little Artist At Work

Mummy bought this big roll of drawing paper from Ikea for her angels to draw and doodle, rather than having them drawing on A4 paper and always "accidentally" draw on my table or floor... Today decided to let them use water colours, can't make out anything from their abstract drawing but most impotantly they enjoyed themselves.....

Korean Food

Mummy went for Korean BBQ buffet at East Coast with Aunt Sher... wow my favourite food now but not much pple share my interest leh :( They will give you lots of side dishes other than the meat for BBQ... the pork belly wrapped in the veg.. mmm... YUM YUM....

There is a mini playground there and Mummy tot that can entertain Claudia while I enjoy my food.... but haiz.... yes she like to play there but wanted me to play with her... In the end Mummy have to walk up and down throughout the lunch.... Next time sure will not bring her with me, have to arrange on a day that Ah Ma can look after her.... hehe...

Full or half day???

This thing has been on my mind for a long long time.... should I withdraw Evan from MMI to a 3 hrs kindergarten???? He will be in K1 next year and if I dun withdraw him then he will have to stay there till he goes primay school...... actually I really really wanted him out, not bcos the school is no good but I tink he is spending too much time there....

Aiya finding an ideal kindergarten is a headache too... wanted somewhere near my home, not too ex, good environment and a place that he likes.... My idea was to put him on moring session and he can come home for lunch and nap... then maybe some enrichment classes in e late afternoon...Claudia can also attend a playgroup in e morning too...He loves the idea cos he said he likes to be at home with Mummy... so sweet hor...

But that will means I will be a real SAHM which I dun tink I can be one... I will be needed in store, for meeting, for training from time to time.... Daddy strongly object to the idea cos he tinks I will not be able to handle them alone EVERYDAY especially the school holidays.... furthermoe Evan loves his current childcare so he said there is no need to make such a change but he said I can still go ahead if I wan to... OH OH tat means I have to take full responsiblity for the decision....

Aiya aiya.... i tink left also no good, right also no good..... HOW??? by e time I finish thinking, it will be year 2009 already.....

Birthday Party

We attended Daddy's cousin birthday party on Sunday at Sembawang Park... Wow an end of Singapore that we would seldom venture to.... Though Claudia's fever had finally subsided but her cough is still quite bad... But that does not stop her from enjoying herself

Daddy and Mummy got to know each other through Pool and our son seems very interested in this game too hahaha... everytime he sees a pool table means $2 will be gone from our wallet... Of cos he still dunno how to play but he just loves to use the cue to push all the balls in...

Evan was very excited to see all these BIG vessels in the sea....
Haiz... I have to admit I am not a strict Mummy :P Claudia is still coughing but I din really stop her from drinking this... Knowing that she will scream if she can't get it, I gave her bit by bit before I try to divert her attention.... Lucky it was a hot evening and that does not worsen her cough todya... excuses!!!

Princess is sick.........

Claudia has been down with fever since Thus night, up and down for 2 days... Mummy thought she is teething again so tried to give her some panadol... But little Princess hate to drink western medicine, she refuse the milk if you put it inside and she will vomit if you try to force the medication into her mouth... sweets or coaxing cannot help to open her mouth... oh gosh real headache and heartache....

Till today the fever just cant subside, cough and running nose came to join.... Furthermore she will vomit everytime she is sick, especially before her sleep.... Daddy and Mummy have been busy washing her pillows and "yao lan" for the past 2 nights..... Finally Mummy brought her to the Doc today... doc gave her medication that I already have and which she refuse to take... I ask for the "bullet" that you insert through the rectum....hopefully it can help to bring her fever down tonight....

Little princess has been crying and whining non stop day and night.... Mummy has not been sleeping much for the past 2 nights, tired like a zombie already....tired tired!!!! Lucky Evan has been sensible these 2 days, din give me much problems.... He will sayang his sister and keep telling her its ok and tried to give in to her when she cries.....

Little princess please have a good night sleep today and wake up well and healthy tommorow.....

KFC Yum Yum

Claudia always insist that she wants to eat on her own though she is still not good with the spoon and she dun really eat much, some people says its good cos she is independent.... But well sometimes Mummy finds her a bit too independent for comfort, especially when we are dining out. She can really make me feel so pai seh when she mess up the table and everywhere.... But she can make me feel worse when she scream if she dun get her way....Haiz....

Little car

This is a battery-operated car bought by Nai² 2 years ago... but she kept it since Evan had a minor accident in it.... Now Evan seems to be too big for the car liao... haha... but he still enjoy driving it around the garden....
Seems more suitable for Claudia now though she can't control the car properly....

TCM

How time flies.... Evan has been seeing this Physician Yu for 1 year.... Dilligently drinking his "brown powder" almost every day.... Actually Mummy find it so bitter so usually will add some honey to it... But well hard work paid off or rather money spent worthwhile, cos he has been free from western medication for 1 year... no more minor major cough, flu, fever(touch wood!!!!!)

Claudia also started drinking this since 5 months ago but hers is more for improving her appetite and digestive system cos she vomit frequently.... so far so good.... I mixed the powder in her milk and surprisingly she drink it from her milk bottle without complaining.... Well done children!!!!!

So BIG

Gong² was eating bread and Claudia want some too... But she dun wan a small piece but the whole thing.... Soft-hearted Gong² can't resist her cries and gave her the whole piece to bite....

Ugly Haircut

Mummy just bought a mini shaver from Watson's and thought she can give Evan a good haircut... haha.... looks more like a bowl.. Daddy, Ah ma and Jui² had a good laugh.... they insist i bring him for a proper haircut though Evan is very satisfied with it....

SAHM

Its been 2 years since I started being a SAHM, though not really a full time one.... I am still on stand-by for work and does paper work at home... But well 80% of my time is still spend on my 2 angels so I still consider myself a SAHM... hehe.... It was not really planned for, in fact I never thought I would really be one... But it just happens.... As days goes by, I really enjoyed it... Afterall I always think spending quality time and bonding with the kids is very very important especially in their early years.... I enjoyed being there seeing how they grow and witnessing all their milestones....

Claudia was a difficult baby, untill e recent months, she was cranky most of the time, she refuse to eat semi-solids, she cry and cry all the time, she refuse to sleep at night..... It was really torturing for me to hear her cries constantly and not knowing wat she wants, I felt so restricted and helpless, felt tat I loss my own life bcos of her......I ever regreted having her... now feel so guilty for ever having tat thought :(

Now that she is older and able to talk and reason a bit... life is getting better... Though she still throw tantrums from time to time but I have learn how to handle her better.... and really grow to love her more and more.... Daddy no longer say I show favoritism and love Evan more... haha....

Being a SAHM gives me a kind of satisfaction that working cannot give me.... Though part of me craves to go back to work, to get away from this routine life as a yellow-faced woman, to have more spending power..... but the motherly part of me always manage to convince me that I am not making a wrong choice now :) I have no idea how long will I continue but for now I still enjoy being able to cook and care for them myself..... Seeing how Evan enjoy his mummy's cooking and his daily "I love you Mummy" can really melt my heart....No matter how tired I was at the end of the day, seeing them sleeping soundly in the bed always give me contentment.....

And I really thank my mum for being my support, taking over Claudia whenever I need a breather and some Me time....
