My Sleeping Beauty

Sleep is of utmost importance to Claudia. I remembered having a hard time putting Evan to bed in the past, be it afternoon nap or night. But it is super duper easy for Claudia, she can even fall asleep while watching tv, this is something that has never happen to Evan!!

As she grows, I no longer make it a must for her to take afternoon nap... But on days when she skips it, she will voluntarily go to bed on her own at 7+ with her milk alone... Her longest record of sleep is 430pm to 830am the next day!!!

Yes I managed to convince her to cut her hair short!!! She used to be very protective of her hair, she does not allow anyone to cut her hair except the fringe.... But now she enjoys having short hair....

I missed blogging about her 4th birthday, I am so sorry.... She is outgrowing the terrible 3 stage, becoming more reasonable and manageable now... She can write her alphabets, numbers and chinese name without help now...

She is very close to Evan who pampers her more than Mummy... He loves, he protects, he shares, he looks after her very much....

I love to see them walk hand in hand!!!

Bye bye tooth

One of Evan's adult tooth had erupted a few weeks ago... but his milk tooth refused to make way!! Mummy is very worried that his adult teeth will not have enough space to grow...

Finally the milk tooth started to shake but the problem is it is not the correct tooth!!! I wanted him to wait for it to drop naturally but my impatient boy insisted to go to school dentist for extraction. I guess it was painless as he came home excitedly with the milk tooth in bag...

Now I am waiting patiently for the correct one to shake!!

Serious Reading

Finally we decided to introduce Evan to some serious reading... This series of books used to be one of Daddy's favourite when he was young so he was excited to recommend it to Evan!!

Evan seems interested in the book and started reading it day and night... I hope he will persist and finish the book soon...

Talent

We were talking about talent in the car, Evan suddenly ask "Mummy what is your talent?"

I was stunned for a moment and had no answer!! Clever mum threw the question back to them, asked "you guess?"

Claudia shouted "I know I know! Mummy's talent is loving her kids!" haha is tat a talent?

Evan thought for sometime and said " Mummy's talent is cooking"

Its a great joke of the day for me and it makes my day knowing they appreciate my "talents" haha

Camp 15-17 Dec

I must be one of the garang mummy who is brave enough to enrol my 3yr 10mths old gal for the camp...But I feel safe with Evan, Dana and Faith looking after her. Furthermore Daddy was supportive of the idea too.... I seek the teacher in charge's approval before I enrolled her because she believed Claudia will be fine in camp...

I am glad I did the correct decision!!! Claudia enjoyed herself so did Evan, as usual....

That day we were having lunch at the market and kids were so interested with the trishaws... A very kind uncle gave them a free ride and they were super happy!! Thank you uncle!!

I always "complain" my kids are too active, can't sit still for a moment... Today I reflected on myself, maybe it's me who is too active?!?!? hahaha

4 weeks of school holidays had passed and I tried very hard to recall if we spent a whole day at home without going out at all.... NONE!!! I must at least bring them out for a meal or a walk or something!!! So the culprit should be mummy me right?? haha

Before the holidays, I bought DIY sand art and craft work, thinking we can do those when we are BORED at home.... but those are still left in the store room because we had no time for them!! Also, I thought I should spent some time revising with Evan to prepare him for P1....BUT then I decided he deserve a good break before he start school.... haha... it must take a active mummy to have 2 active kids right?

I believe there are lots of mummies out there who are just like me right??

Car Wash

I mean washing it on our own, not at petrol kiosk....This is an activity that is exclusive to mummy and kids only!!! Because when Daddy is washing the car, he is super serious about it so he do not like to have the kids around.... Grandparents do not like it too because the kids will get wet and dirty...

But for me, it is a fun and safe activity for them so why not? See my boy, so serious with the cleaning... haha

One day tour

Last tue, I brought the kids for a one day tour with SKCC... Suppose to be an educational tour to soy sauce factory, tofu factory, birdnest and Airforce Museum... but it turned out more like a shopping tour because we did not really get to visit the factories....

They did not enjoy the itenary so much but they enjoyed the company!!!

School holidays can be super busy and tiring for the mummies, thinking and deciding activities/programs to keep them occupied....

This is already the 3rd week so what have we been doing? Painting, swimming, shopping, free shows at malls, skating and many more....

We were doing some workbooks today and Claudia really impressed me!!! She did this on her own and I nearly dropped from my chair!!!

Maybe I always think she is too young so I have never put too much emphasis on her learning.... Furthermore, she will always pretend she don't know her alphabets and work with a cheeky smile.... I did not expect her to write her alphabets so well.... Great job!!

Skate Camp

This post is 2 weeks late.... My kids attended a 5 day skate camp in the 1st week of the school holidays at Bedok Reservoir Park...

Evan already know how to skate before that so this camp had greatly improved his skills and confidence.... As for Claudia, i was impressed with her progress, she can skate independently now, not as fast but good enough for my 3 yrs 10 mths gal...

I am proud/shy to say that I am the most "steady" mummy... On the 1st day, I settled them and I left them with the instructors... That is how independent my kids can be heehee.... but after the 1st day, Evan complained!!! He said I was the only mummy who left, the rest of the mummies were all seated there waiting for their kids :P

Evan had a little fan Shyanne following him around and cheering him!!! So cute!!!

This is the final result on the last day!! Well done kids!!!

Queue, Queue, Queue AGAIN

Why are we queuing again and again? What else but all the free kiddy shows in the malls? Strawberry shortcake, Barney, Hi-5, Dora and more to come!!! I really salute those parents who went 2 hours earlier to queue!!

So far, I think Strawberry Shortcake was the best show we watched so far... and we spent the shortest time in the queue-15 mins!!

All the kids were super excited when they saw the bubbles!!!

I almost fainted at United Square when I saw the queue!! We went ahead but the Barney show was not that entertaining for my kids, maybe they had outgrown that stage.... (1 show lesser for next June holidays... hahaha) And we did not manage to get a good spot

Last wed, we caught 2 shows in 1 afternoon with Daddy... Then Daddy realised how crazy and "wei da" Mummy is... haha The Hi-5 show has a good arrangement, kids who were at the later part of the queue were allowed to go in but without the parents... so the following pictures was taken by Evan and a don't-know-who...

Next is Dora The Big Pinata.... The show supposed to start at 7pm and we were there at 6.45pm... I thought the queue must be super long but surprising it was alright... The best part is they only allow the kids to sit in the centre while parents stand at the side/back... That is a wonderful arrangement!!! Adults can really occupied a lot of space and deprived other kids of the chance...

The most disappointing one was Toy Story... it was only a Meet and Greet session, no performance....

New skills

Claudia is always so envious when she sees Evan skating around.... Mummy had signed Evan for a skate camp in Nov.... and seriously thinking of signing up for her too!!! Am I too adventurous? Afterall, she can't really ride a bike steadily yet....

The trainer who was so nice gave me a pair of skates for her to try out at home before I decide... Well she was clinging on to me and anything else for support but she seems to enjoy it... so I did sign her up!!!

Graduation Concert

Evan turned 6!!

My baobei had turned 6!! Finally? or too fast?

As usual, we had a simple family celebration at my mum's place during his lunar birthday... He distributed the cake on his own, the 1st piece is for Claudia... Mummy was waiting for her share but the 2nd piece went to Ah Ma...

When I asked him why, he said he has to give out the cakes to the people he loved most first!!! Mmmm.... meaning Mummy ranked No 3?!?! Oh how sad am I... Luckily Daddy is not around, if not I am very sure I will rank No 4.... haha...

Daddy do not spend as much time with them but he just have that special place in Evan's heart...

On the actual day, he had a mini celebration in the school... Claudia had informed her teacher 1 day earlier that she is not attending school because she need to go for her brother's party... haha... what a smart gal..

Instead of ordering the normal cake, I decided to get cupcakes for him instead... Nice and yummy!!!

Mummy is Speechless

This is a post that I am very relunctant to write. But my heart hurts, why does my lovely Claudia have to suffer this kind of unfairly treatment time after time? She is such a lovable and innocent kid who does not deserve this... especially from someone elderly who should be showering her with love

Scenario 1 (Just happened this evening)
When I walked into the restaurant, I saw Evan seated in between his grandparents while Claudia sat alone on the opposite side. Fine, the seats on her left and right are left for her parents but she gives me such a lonely feeling. Never mind, it's just my feelings.

While we were waiting for our food to be served, they brought Evan away to shop for his birthday present. When Claudia realised that her brother had "disappeaared", she cried for him. Why can't she tag along for the shopping? Why can't she wait till we are done? Come on, the shops are not closing yet! In the end, Mummy forgo her dinner and brought Claudia shopping while Daddy had his dinner alone.

Scenario 2 (1 month ago)
Evan had a new toy and a specific instruction not to share it with his sister. When she was caught playing with the toy, she was told to put it down because the toy is only for Evan and not for her!! Why? All because she spilled a drink!!

Scenario 3 (Years ago)
I can't remember how many times have she waved her hands at a crying Claudia, asking her to leave her alone. Adding a statement "You think I want you? I only want your Gor" followed by a hug and kiss planted on Evan.

" Do not bring her here, bring her to her Ah Ma's place. Just bring Evan over" I heard this again and again, till Claudia stopped whining and crying so often then she is "allowed" to stay there with her brother.

Maybe she was just a 1-2 years old gal then but she can see, hear and feel. How can you blame her when she goes around telling people "N don't love me, she only wants Gor"... how can you blame her when she says she is happier when N is not around?

Heart Pain

Evan's swim lesson was extented to 1 hr 45 min today... how tiring is tat for a 6 year old to swim non stop...

Well he was not doing his strokes properly, He was doing free style with hands while doing breast stroke kicking.. how complicated.. how many people can do that coordination actually? Maybe he was so comfortable with breast stroke that's why he can't coordinate properly with the new style. The coach had to resort to tying his legs with a band while he swim...

I was hoping and hoping that the lesson will end FAST,... though this is not the first time he had punishment during lesson but I was really comtemplating to request coach to release him... His tears, his legs tied up and his tiredness makes my heart pain...

Sun Sand Sentosa

We were at Sentosa on Sunny Sunday!!! It started to rain in the morning and looks like it is going to destroy our outing to Sentosa... After lunch, we decided to take the chance and go ahead....

Ths SUN was there to welcome us!!! We have not been there for a long time.. the IR really bring in the crowd but luckily the beach was not crowded.... We did not stay long at the beach, we chose to walk around the island....

Mummy did not bring any sand toys so they make do with the slurpee cup and lid.... fun for kids can be so simple...

They make my day :)

One of the best things they can do to make my day is to complete their daily homework on their own without my help and nagging :)

Usually Evan only need my help with the Chinese work... He is a very competitive boy and he wants me to start practicing his spelling and ting xie earlier!! This makes me very proud of him...

Claudia's homework is usually colouring or tracing... It is very easy for her but the result of it depends on her mood... Sometimes it will be nicely done but sometimes it will be super messy...

My son is growing up !!! He is graduating from kindergarten and going on the next stage of his life in a few months time.

We went for our 2nd run, POSB Run for Kids on 19 Sep... I think the 1st one was sometime earlier this year but that was just a 200m dash so can''t really remember it...

I am proud that both of them can complete the 1.2km run without much stopping!!! Mummy was all ready to carry Claudia halfway through the run but she was determined to finish it.... She even complained Mummy run too slow!!!! Great job kids!!!

Claudia's concert

Claudia's school had their year-end concert for Nursery on 25 Sept 10.... Oh she was super excited... Mummy was a little late and she cried when we arrived because all her friends were ready with their make-up... oops...

Luckily she was all settled down when it's time to perform!!!

I can't believe my gal is only 3.5 years old!!! She is tall and mature for her age....

This is how we spent our 6 days in Perth.... Summary : Rest and Relax... This is real life, if only it can happen everyday :)

Enjoying the sand just outside our cottage.... enjoying the chilly sea breeze at the many beaches along the way....

Having fun at the playgrounds available everywhere all day long....

Do some exercise without getting sweaty.... :)

This post is specially dedicated to my brave and strong Evan!!!

The 2nd place we stayed was a hotel with a swimming pool... It was only 10 degrees so can you imagine how cold is the water in the pool?? To Mummy it was icy cold!!! My boy just jumped in and swam as if its normal water!!!

We were hiding in the spa pool while Evan went from hot spa to cold pool... then cold pool back to hot spa!!! Champion!!! Daddy tried to join him but can't last for long... haha.... Mummy went in too... with her toes only hahaha....

This is one of the memorable part of the trip because I find him real brave and strong... haha

Animals and more animals

The kids will not have a chance to come so close to the animals in Spore and it was quite an experience for them... Claudia went crazy feeding and touching the animals, you can really feel her passion towards the animals... She simply can't stop.... cow, sheep, kangaroo, you name it, she feed it...

We went to Cavensham Wildlife Park at Swan Valley and it was an interesting place for the kids.... So natural that we were walking on the poo poo.... hahaha

As for Evan, he was not so comfortable being so close to the animals, the most intimate thing that he had done was to milk the cow and bottle-feeding the little lamb.... haha...

Their 1st ride on the tram in the Whiteman Park....

They saw the steam engine train for the 1st time...

They saw orange tree, lemon tree and lime tree for the 1st time.... It is something so basic in life but so rare in the city here....

Swan Valley is a place with lots of winery... more greenery and wildflowers everywhere.....There are playground at almost all the winery and the kids had a fun time playing again and again....

We went on a free n easy holiday to Perth!!! Though Mummy did lots of homework but other than booking the accomodation, we have no concrete plans for this trip... Just wanted to drive around and stop/visit when we want to.... It was a relaxing, no stress and educational trip for the kids...

We took Tiger Airways and Evan was complaining about the lack of service in flight.... haha.... Luckily Mummy brought along laptop to entertain him through the flight.... Claudia was sleeping through the flight, what a peaceful journey.... hahaha

We arrived in the night so had a good night rest after checking in.... This is the place we stayed... a self-contained apartment. The best part for kids is the double deck bed but the not-so-brave Mummy dare not let anyone of them sleep up there... The good/bad part for me is I have to prepare dinner in the kitchen...

Claudia loves Merly and Lyo so much!! She gets so excited and happy when she sees the banner all over the streets....

That day we went for a walk at Helix Bridge and she keep bugging us to take photo of her and Merly & Lyo..

How wonderful will it be if they can be so lovey dovey all the times.... recently I seems to feel the siblings rivalry getting stronger....

Mummy have been lazy again... haha...

3rd term is ending soon and we had our parent-teacher meeting.... Evan's learning is alright but need to improve on his handwriting.... Both the teachers and me can see the improvement in him since April, in terms of learning, attitude and discipline.... Mummy is happy that I changed his school just in time.... Hopefully he will be well prepared for Pri 1 next year... Already enrolled him in Maha Bodhi School, hope he will enjoy hisself there :)

Claudia is enjoying herself in school too.... When she first went to this school, she will cry and whine when I sent her..... But teachers told me she is a born actress... haha... cos she will dry her tears when she sees my car moving off..... Wat to do,... she just like to "torture" me with her constant whines and cries.....

Yeah!!! We are going away from 2 to 8 Sept!!!! Going to Perth.... So happy and excited about it!!!

A frightening experience!!!

I was totally speechless... was in a shock for a long time... angry? scare? I don't know but it was a freaking experience!!! Everything happened in less than half a minute!!!

I was about to reverse my car into a parallel parking lot and I heard a very vague "Ahhh"... luckily I stepped on my brakes though I had no idea where did the sound come from... the next thing I saw through my mirror was a boy cycling pass the side of my car in an amazing speed!!!!

What is he doing? Thinking he is a stuntman? Thinking his body and bike will be stronger than my car? What?!?!?! I was at a loss for words!!! He shouted meaning he saw my car but yet decided to take the chance and race against it??? He did not even bother to stop!!! Then I saw a auntie cycle pass my car and supposed that was his mum... she mumbled "sorry" to me and went off.... OMG!!!

There are many "if" flashing through my mind... if I did not hear his "ahh".... if I reversed a little bit faster.... if.. if... if.... I don't know how old is this boy but if the parents think he is old enough to cycle on the road then he should be taught BASIC safety rules!!! If I knocked onto him, can I say sorry and drive off???

This should be one of Evan's favourite place... cos he won his very 1st medal here!!!

This is a place full of ICE.... There are slides, bathtub and toilet made of ice...After visiting the place, we had a competition.... To make a drinking cup from a block of ice.... I was the photographer throughtout so I did not make anything.... but my kids and hubby were busy with their masterpiece.....

3 Days Holiday Camp

Yes I signed up the the holiday camp at skcc again.... Evan has been looking forward to it.... he woke up early in the morning, changed himself and waited for Daddy at the door with his bag.....

Din take any photos tis morning cos I left the camera at home.... he came back saying it is not fun enough, the last day will be the best.... haha.... cos they will be having concert and carnival on the last day....

Claudia keep saying she want to join her Gor²... sweetie wait for another year ok? even if the teacher allow you to go, Mummy will think twice... haha...

Korea Snowing!!

Haiz.... It has been almost 2 months since we came back from Korea but have not finish my post.... decided to do a quick sunmmary of the balance days.....hee

We went at the end of winter season so did not expect to see snow.... but we got a big surprise, we not only see snow on the ground.... it was snowing on our 2nd day!!! The kids were surprised!!!

They were extremely happy and excited..... It was all over their faces!!!

1st School Holidays EVER!!!

Evan never knows what is school holidays till now..... cos he has been in child care centre all along.... He was super excited and repeatedly asked and confirmed if it is true that he do not have to go school for the whole month?!?!? Mummy was so amused... haha

Well... Claudia is also enjoying school holidays as we had withdrew her from the child care too... so Mummy expected June to be a busy and hectic month.... hahaha.... One week had passed so quickly that I needed some time to recall what have we done for the past week??? It is not so difficult to keep them entertained afterall....

Mummy had been working through the night for the 1st 3 days.... and I was really impressed by their love and independence!!! They knew that I will be tired and will not be able to wake up early.... They woke up in the morning (don't know what time cos I was still catching up with my beauty sleep).... Evan will get simple breakfast for himself and Mei2.... watched TV together..... went for their shower and changed before waking me up on the dot at 11am!!!!

I am very very happy with that!! I brought them out for brunch and fun at Ikea on Tues.... but they were washing the ball pit so they went again on wed..... Thursday, we decided to stay at home the whole day.... doing holidays homework, packing up their play room and playground fun..... and they helped me with housework too..... changing mattress cover, keeping their own clothes and cleaning the floor with the magic clean.... FANTASTIC!!!!

So far the 1st week of school holidays is smooth sailing..... enjoyable and relaxing.....

Welcome to Wriggles Concert!!!

By chance, Mummy happened to see a lucky draw to get free tickets for Wriggles concert so no harm trying right? Sent sms using my phone and Daddy's about a week ago and forgotten about it....

On fri aft, they called to say we had won 8 tickets to the show!!! It was so last minute and I did not managed to give away the balance free tickets .... wat a waste.... was wondering if we are really so lucky or not much people send the sms??

Mummy brought the kids to the concert on Sat afternoon.... It was very entertaining.... Actually kids do not really know who and what is Wriggles cos they have not watch their show before.... But they still enjoyed the show very much... singing, clapping and dancing away....

I realised it is more for ang mohs... cos about 70% of the audience were ang mohs....

Splashing time

The weather is killing us... HOT HOT HOT!!!

We brought the kids for a swim yesterday..... Its been a long time we last went to the pool together.... The kids had great fun....

Mummy had to change the habit of writing short forms or Singlish in my sms and blog....because Evan is reading it!!! He will correct me at times and I do not want him to learn the wrong things from me... :P

Our Favourite Food

Evan's highest record was to finish 5 cups in a meal.... usually he will eat at least 2.... Claudia, being influenced by her Gor, started to love it too...

Mummy tried to make it at home and it was quite a success!!! cos Evan ask for more... hahaha.... then I can save some $$ cos eating 2 bowls of that in a restaurant is costly and yet can't fill his stomach....

Prawn Fishing

2 weeks ago, Daddy decided to bring us prawn fishing at Punggol Marina at a funny hour 8pm.... funny because usually we will not compromise our kids 9pm sleeping time....

anyway the kids were excited... it was their 1st try.... Mummy was quite sceptical, dun tink my active kids have the patience for fishing.... haha

It was not a very successful try... our catch was only 5 prawns after 1.5 hours... hahaha

Patiently waiting, waiting and waiting....

But the kids had lots of fun..... tats most important.....

For the past week, Mummy decided to let Claudia go without diapers during night time!!!

I would say it was a success!!! Except for an accident on the 2nd day, she managed to wake up in the middle of the night to tell me she need to go toilet!!

It has been 2 weeks since Evan changed school... I am proud to say that we made a great decision!!! Though there are lots of adjustment that I have do on my part.... but we can see the change in him in 2 weeks, he is much happier!!!

Be it the new school environment or the new timing (he goes to sch from 1130am to 3pm).... we can see more smiles on him.... he used to be upset if I pick him late but now he request to go sch earlier!! He has homework daily but he is more than willing to do it on his own.... He comes home giving me lots of updates about his 3 hours in school instead of giving me a blank look when asked wat he did in sch....

Everyday without fail, he replied with a loud "FUN" when I asked him hows school today!!! This is the best answer for Mummy :)

She has been asking to do it long time ago... but Mummy din dare to do it!!! I am afraid of her cries and whining after effect.... haha

Tat fateful day, Mummy gave in to her request finally.... A friend told me Claudia will not cry if she is the one who asked for it, the lady at the jeweller told me tat too... But haiz... this is not the case for my princess, she screamed the shop down and the whole row of shopkeepers can hear her.... Poor Ah Ma spent almost 10 mins trying to pacify her... hee.... cos Mummy was laughing along the way.....

But the best part is she did not cry or whine anymore after the 10 mins.... no more pain and she is proud of her earrings!!!

This post is long overdue... should have blog about this long time ago....

My little princess has a "boyfriend" hahaha... tats what she is telling everybody.... According to her teacher, they do everything together...play,learn,eat, sleep they are partners in everything they do....

Recently when told she will be changing school soon, her first question was "Is Eugene coming with me?"....haha... I said No, he is not changing with you..... Then she said she is not changing too because Eugene cannot do without her!!!! Faintz......

New School

I can still remember when we withdraw Evan from MMI, we were sad.... Cos we did it not bcos we are unhappy with the school, in fact Evan enjoyed school... We decided to do it cos we wan him to attend a sch which is near our home so that he can be on half day and spend more time with Mummy.... We did not enrol him in a proper kindergarten cos we can't be very sure that Mummy can be a sahm for 2 years.... How wrong was our decision !!!

The childcare that he is going is having problems, teachers have been changing and changing since Jan... It is his 6th English teacher and 3rd Chinese teacher in less than 4 months, lots of children withdraw from the school.... We made a difficult decision, to pull him out NOW in the middle of his K2!!

We enrolled him in St Hilda's Kindergarten starting tis week. We even forfeit 1 month fees at the childcare cos we dun wan to drag it till the 3rd term.... He was half happy to leave the childcare cos the constant change of teachers is affecting him too but he was half sad cos he din wan to leave his friends....It is not easy for him to change school now....

Yest was his 1st day in school..... when he came home, he was telling me about the things that he have done and learnt in school.... he said his new friends are very nice to him and he like the place!!! Today he did his homework the moment he woke up and he asked me to send him to school earlier cos he wan to read books together with his friends!! Mummy is happy and relieved....

I used to tink I will enjoy working life better... having freedom, annual leave, mc, bonus, job satisfaction working up the coporate ladder blah blah blah

For the past 4 months, I have been working like crazy, day or night, weekday or weekend..... My clock has been turn upside down inside out.... Sad to say, I have to admit that I cannot juggle work, housework, 2 active kids and my own life... everything seems to be in a mess... I was so upset with myself cos I tink I just can't do anything right!!! People keep telling me I am pushing myself too hard.... I guess so....

After Korea trip, I realise this is not right..... I need to re-organise my life a bit.... cos during tat 7 days, kids had our undivided attention and shows how much they need us.... My kids esp Evan is feeling the stress and difference of not having Mummy with him, not having family time together.... Tat day he asked me "Mummy can we have some time to play together LIKE a family?" I was taken aback and I felt so sad... To have family time is a priority and their right but yet he have to request for it.... why are they being deprived of it? At tat moment I hated myself !!!

I realised its been months since we went swimming, beach, cycling, shopping..... LIKE a family!!! Either we were too tired or schedule just dun allow us to do it together... Daddy and I decided that we just have to get more people to work and resume our NORMAL life!!! There is no repeat of my children childhood....

Then I realised actually deep in my heart, I still prefer to work as a nanny, cleaner, chef, teacher, story teller, be with my kids through their growing years.... be more patient and spend more time with them, tats wat I wan to do now... cos when Mummy's time is limited, sleep is deprived and work undone, her fuse just get shorter and shorter.... and who will suffer???

Korea Day 2 Part 2

1st stop was ODAESUN NATIONAL PARK and WOLJEONG-SA TEMPLE

Had a walk in the park taking in lots of fresh air....

Guess wat is Evan doing? He is not playing with stones, tour guide says there is a belief that if you make a wish and stack up the stones. If you can stack up at least 3, your wish will come true... See how serious he is.. Guess wat is his wish? "To be a very good boy!!!!"

So what is Evan busy with again? You can do a good deed by donating a roof tile for the temple, you can write your wishes on it.... After Ye² is done with it, Evan insisted he need to write something too... We were so afraid his handwriting will destroy the whole thing.... hahaha... but see how serious he is again, slowly adding on his name at the corner.....

The final product... nice and proper handwriting hor.... haha... This boy was a very attentive tourist, he listened to the tour guide's explanation and remembered them till now.... If he can be so attentive in school too, that will be great!!!

I am glad that we had a guide and assistant who has been very helpful, they will help to look after and entertain my kids while we were busy.....

Next stop - ATV RIDE!!!

The thing that Evan has been looking forward to but he was disappointed when he realised he had to share a bike with Daddy.... My dear you are too young to control it, it has a real engine!!!

It was my 1st try!! I was nervous and my pillion driver is more nervous than me!!! haha... she was telling me "Mummy dun go so fast" When I gained confidence in controlling the ATV, she gained confidence in me too!! She told me " Mummy go faster"

Korea Day 2 Part 1

I am going to take ages to post about my Korea trip.... hahaha

When we returned to our accomodation ( Club Di-Art) on the 1st night, it was already late in the night. We din really see the environment of the accomodation. Was so glad to see our bed after a super long and tiring day.... It is not a hotel, it is more like a resort. Small room but well equipped with a small kitchen and a big balcony... but too bad we only spent our sleeping time there, no chance to explore round the place.

We woke up to our surprise!! It has very nice scenery, surrounded by nature, fantastic air and snow everywhere. Evan was super excited, woke up before our morning call... Draw the curtains and shouted!!! He was capitvated by the surroundings, quickly put on Daddy's shoes (I tink cos that is the easiest and fastest) and ran out to the balcony..... his expression was priceless!!!

After our breakfast (rice with soup early in the morning), we are off to another busy day exploring Korea!!!

EVERLAND!!!!

The kids were the happiest!!!! It is an enormous outdoor theme park which is owned by the boss of Samsung, our tour guide said it was actually built for his grandchildren!!! that goes to show how rich he is and how fortunate his grandchildren are..

They have a Safari in there and it was awesome!!! You can never see the wild animals in Singapore at such close proximity, the animals were just next to the bus that we were sitting in.. the bears will perform stunts like clapping and standing right in front of you..... There are bears, lions, tiger and Ligers....

Evan went for pony ride, Claudia went for camel and pony rides....

The turnips were beautiful and we can see it everywhere in the park....

Birds feeding.... Claudia was brave!! Evan withdraw his palm when the birds come, he said its too ticklish... hahaha....

Then its kiddy rides after kiddy rides.... It was super tiring to walk from one point to another and we almost lost our way in this huge theme park.....

Evan made Daddy so mad.... There were snow everywhere and we already told him umpteem times not to step on the snow or ice... He did it again and again till his shoes and pants were all wet.... When we were leaving, he was shivering with cold and his fever came back but he dared not tell us about it....Aiyo I really panic when we board the coach when his feet is cold like ice and his body was hot!!! luckily I had all the medication with me, inserted a bullet for him quietly while he was sleeping and thank goodness he was fine after tat....

Next stop was shopping at branded factory outlet, where got mood to shop?!??!?! Quickly bought him a new pair of shoes and it was an expensive but not branded one lor....

Departure to Korea!!!

We took a 11pm night flight so expected the kids to sleep in the plane... Yes of cos they did.... both slept on my lap so I din get a good sleep :(

But not for long for Claudia... She woke up after a 2 hours sleep and decided that was enough!!! It was only 2am in the morning and she was full of energy!! Poor Daddy had to sacrifice his sleep to entertain her throughout the flight.... while Mummy and Evan continue our beauty sleep.... :)

But Mummy just had a bad feeling that Evan is not feeling well as he fell alseep before the plane take off.... True enough he vomitted when he woke up with a slight fever... I was so worried that he couldn't take it when we arrived at the cold cold Korea.... Luckily he was much better after medicine and another short nap....

It is greetings in Korean language!!!

Yes yes I am late for my updates. Stop chasing me please... My pc decided to tekan me after leaving it idle for a week... Just got it repaired... There are hundreds of photos taken in Korea, please give me some time to sort them out... Kam sa ha mi da (Thank you)

It was a wonderful trip!!!! The weather was best!!! It was very cold and we just love it.... It was supposed to be end winter/early spring but it was only 2-4 degrees and it was even snowing!!!! Throughout the trip Claudia was always complaining of coldness... yes her clothes are not thick enough but we tink half of the time she was trying to gain sympathy from us so that we will carry her....

The only bad part is we din have enough time for shopping cos it was a package tour... but super Mummy still managed to come back with lots of things... hahaha....

Before I go, people keep telling me the meals there is not good esp for kids, even cup noodles are all spicy..... made me panic and brought along tons of cup noodles, biscuits and packet milk, as if we are going for 1 week war!!! Oh this is so untrue!!! Korean food is fantastic, my kids have no prob at all.... They have 24 hours store which sell all kinds of tibtits and food..... and I came back with half of my supplies... haiz... waste my luggage space.... heehee

We are going on a holiday to Korea on 22 Mar-28 Mar 2010!!!!

2 days ago, Evan made Mummy real mad. I told him I am going to punish him by not allowing him on the trip and I tore his "ticket" in front of him... He was extremely sad but he accepted the fact and went to sleep....

The next morning, he woke up and went to pack his stuff. When I asked him why, he told me he need to pack his stuff to bring over to Ah Ma's place where he will stay for 6 days... He said tis with tears welling up in his eyes "Mummy, can I have a family photo to bring along so that I can look at it when I miss you?" Suddenly I felt so so guilty....

Later in the day, I tried to change the situation.... I told him I will try to get another ticket from the agency so that he can go.... He said " Mummy if you need to pay another $1000 for the new ticket then dun waste your money, I will go the next time" At the instant, I felt like giving myself a tight slap for causing him so much distress and disappointment!!! Wat a lousy wicked mum!!! Of cos I would not leave him here alone but din expect him to take my words so seriously :(

Evan is a mischievious boy and he can really drive me crazy at times.... but the soft side of him can really melt my heart..... He is a kind and understanding boy, it will be great if he can be less active at times....

Dun ask me how... but we managed to squeeze 3 off days to go Genting!!! It was a very last min thing, we went on weekdays and the place was not crowded at all.... Not a single queue for the rides and they can go again and again....

Evan was very disappointed cos he can't take some of the rides cos he exceeded the height limit...

But he was extremely happy when he can play bumper car non stop for 1.5 hours... while Daddy brought Claudia back for a rest.... Mummy took lots of photos but now a bit lazy to sort it out.... heehee

Mummy brought the kids to the new park while waiting for Daddy to ko... Saw a fish pond there and lots of people were there with lots of bread to feed the fishes... Of cos Mummy was not prepared so the kids have been nagging about it all the way home, asking me to keep all the expired bread in the store.....

I mean my blog.... hee hee

I have been missing from my blog for more than 3 months.... Mmmm.... so long huh.... Have been very very busy with work.... Many times I wanted to post but either my body or mind is not functioning correctly.... Finally slowed down a bit tis 2 weeks and started to miss my blog.... hahaha

So wat have we been doing for the past months? My poor kids are deprived of Mummy's love, time and most importantly Mummy's cooking!!! hahaha.... Evan is complaining that I have not cook a meal for him since tis year.... So so very sorry son.... Din know my cooking is so well-liked.... hahaha.... Mummy missed the bonding time so so very much.... Din have time to bring them out for much activities....

It is a tough job to juggle work, kids and housework, I have tons of tasks which are long overdue.... Oh I really dun like tis lifestyle, everyday is in a rush... day and night upside down... how I wished i can have 48 hours in a day.... I was pushing myself to my limits, I need a break!!!

Will do a quick summary of our life through photos cos my memory of the past 3 months is a blank.... thats how important a camera is... photos preserved all the memories..... :)

Fun-o-logy Camp

Mummy sent Evan for a 3 days camp.... not exactly an overnight camp but a 3 days activities event organised by Sk cc....

It seems like a fun filled event.... from 9.30am to 4.30pm for 3 days.... He was super excited, woke up at 7am tis morning and got himself prepared.... hahaha.....

They baked log cake and made some jelly today... of cos with the help of the teachers and helpers.... Did some art work, singing and dancing..... When I left tis morning, they were doing warm up exercise and he was very engrossed in it.....

Tomorrow they will be going for an excursion to the police patrol dogs training centre... tink its gonna be fun!!!

Adventure by chance

Mummy was thinking of bringing Evan to the Forest Adventure at the reservoir long time ago... As advised, I had shown him the videos and prepared him mentally long time ago... But Mummy forgotten all about it... heehee....

We happened to be cycling at Bedok Reservoir today.... He saw the place and insisted he wan to go for it.... Daddy was very sceptical, just like Mummy... we dun really tink he has the guts for it... heehee.... We are totally unprepared for it, he was still in his school uniform!!! Luckily he got his track shoes in the car.... Mummy walked all the way back to the car just to get his shoes, I was tinking he better dun play me out cos it was a long walk.... hahaha.....

He got all geared up and super excited!!! Haha... Daddy says he dun know wat is he in for.... hahaha..... dashing up the stairs like a hero.... 1st obstacle- 3 steps out and he reversed!!! In tears!!! Oops!!!! Coaxing and encouragement from the instructor and us din help....

He came down from the flying fox and was smiling.... Aiya.... We spent 10 mins explaining, encouraging and coaxing him..... FINALLY he decided to give it another try!!! Wonderful!!! This time round, he did it!!! He completed the course (with his tears held back at the early stages) The instructor brought him through the 1st few obstacles if he promised not to cry... haha.... wat a good tactic.....

The instructor asked him if he wanna stop after half the course which he said was the easier ones.... Evan seemed to find his confidence and bravery, he said he wan to complete it!!! Wow Wow!!! For the 2nd part, he did most of the obstacles on his own!!! Except for the swinging rods which the instructor helped him to step on it....

Wt was Claudia doing while Evan was adventuring? Walking around and asking to join Kor² cos she is a big girl already!!!

Claudia's 1st bicycle

Mummy bought Claudia her 1st bicycle finally!!! Sad to say, her riding skills is not so good.... I rem when Evan was her age, he was already riding a bike around..... Mauye cos she is a gal? Like Mummy, a lousy rider... hahahaha.....

We brought the kids to Bedok Reservoir to cycle after school today.... She need to look at her legs when she ride.... once her eyes are off the pedal, she can't ride.... hahaha.... so basically she still need someone to "pull" her bike while she "ride"...heehee.....

Evan finally mastered his skills of riding with 2 wheels!!! Yeah!!! Next thing to learn will be in-line skating, Mummy promised to learn with him.... Mmmm.....

When Claudia got tired from "cycling", she got her brother to give her a ride back to the car park.....

My little princess is a pampered gal... not only by the parents and also by the Kor²!!! She got her shoes all dirty with sand and refuse to clean her shoes and feet.... So wat happen?? Evan helped her to do it and put on her shoes for her!!! Wat a wonderful brother!!! I am glad to see both of them so loving and nice to each other.... but of cos there are quarrels and fights now and then....

Sesame Street is at Compass Point, our territory!! How can we miss it? Hahaha.... Mummy tinks its a wonderful and entertaining show!!! Lots of dancing and singing!!!

My lucky boy got chosen to go up stage AGAIN!!! To answer a very very simple question : What colour is Elmo? So the lucky boy in red was chosen.... hahaha... If he can't answer this question, tink he will get rotten eggs thrown at him... hahaha....

Claudia put her hands on her hips and was dancing/shaking to the music... enjoying herself.....

We were there about 30 mins earlier but it was already full... Oh dear, Mummy was thinking how to endure 3 hours of nagging before the next show... Luckily the staff allowed my kids to go in but no more parents.... So they squeezed their way through with some very nice parents making way for them.... Kor² was holding Mei² 's hand... oh so sweet... :)

Halfway through the show, I heard a very familiar cry... To my worst fear, it was Claudia!!! How can she be crying in the midst of such an entertaining show? Oh she need to go toilet!!! hahaha... The kind- hearted staff carried her out and we made a dash to the toilet!! Then she made her way back to look for Kor²....

As regular CP kids, how can they only watch the show once? They watched it for a 2nd time on Sunday with Daddy.....

Crazy over bouncing!!!

We went crazy over it!! Or rather my kids went crazy over it!!

After a long and tiring day at Wild Wild Wet, we tot the kids will knock out immediately after dinner... But how wrong we were!!! They requested to go Changi Airport T3 AGAIN!!!! OMG!!! Isnt boring to bounce for 3 days in a week?!??!! Where did they get all those endless energy??

As we are very nice and doting parents, we went!!! hahaha.... The Jie²s working there all know them already, they played tog and had lots of fun.... Mummy and Daddy din even have to keep them company.... hahaha... just stand and see can le....

So there is an advantage of having lovable kids, they get some gifts under table... haha....bey pai seh.... We only managed to get a pink ping pong ball which can be redeemed for a cap.... but they got extra magic towels which we were supposed to pick from the big ball from the Jie²2..... (dun tell anybody ok??)

Wild Wild Wet

We brought them to Wild Wild Wet today.... thank goodness the weather was fantastic for play but not for our skin, I tink we are all burnt!!! All looked like lobsters at the end of the day!!! Pain Pain!!!

My excited kids!!! can't wait to get wet!!

I can't believe that we actually spent 6 hours in there under the hot sun!!! Daddy really sacrifice himself today, his skin is the reddest and almost peeling off le... oops... he has to suffer the pain for a few days.... sorry Daddy but THANK YOU!!!!

Had a quick lunch break at KFC before they proceed for more fun.... while Mummy turned camera-woman under the hot sun... I was wet, the sun dried me... wet again, dried again.. and wet again....

I would say Claudia was brave!!! There is nothing that she din dare to try!!! All the slides, the Ular-lah (The raft that moves down the slide) which I tot is a bit too fast and exciting for her!! We went for many many times... She actually did not pass the height requirements but we smoked the staff and she managed to get on it.... heehee....

Evan was all over the place, having nothing but FUN!!! We were so glad that we brought them there :) We left with a promise that we will be back again... hahaha... cos it was so difficult to get them to leave the place....

This silly gal dragged the float all over the place, scared she will lose it....

Mummy mentioned that I will bring them back to bouncing castle tis week before I went away but din rem I said Mon?!?! Anyway Evan insisted I said that and was telling everybody over the weekend that when Mummy is busy with her "work" for 2 days, she will bring us there on Mon...

Well, wat to do... to maintain my image of a mum who never break her promise, I brought them there again today....hahaha!!!

Bounce, bounce and bounce..... Fun, fun and fun.... hahaha... they enjoyed themselves so much especially now cos they are allowed to go up the slide... They wanted to go for a second round and queued for 20 mins patiently....

After tat, we went to Evan's fav restaurant currently - Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe !!! AGAIN!! dun know for how many times tis week le......
The food we ordered is almost the same everytime, he only wanted tis bee hoon soup.... They ate 2 plates of the Japanese mochi in like 3 mins??? all by themselves... Mummy din even get a bite :(

This is the 2nd time I went away without my lovely kids.... on a 2D1N trip to Malaysia with my mummy :)

While I enjoyed the peace and me time without the 2 nosiy ones, I missed them like crazy :(

We din dared to tell them I went malaysia cos they will sure wan to follow... so we told them Mummy had to work day and night for 2 days thus they had to stay at the grandparents' place.... hahaha... managed to convince them... Daddy decided to sleep over with them there cos he was worried that they will tink of me if they are at home....

I am blessed with a hubby who is willing to let me go on leave on 2 days and willingly took care of the 2 kids... Thank you!!!

Bouncing Fun!!!

We brought the kids to the Bouncing Castle at airport... they had tons of fun there!!!

There was no queue cos we were quite early.... There is a Jie² who worked there, she seems to like Evan a lot and was entertaining him throughout.... This little boy almost went crazy bouncing around!!! I dun know how long they were supposed to play in there but they seems to have extented play.... hahaha!!!

However Evan was very very disappointed when he was told at the entrance that he is not allowed to go on the big slide cos he is not 8 yrs old yet!!! Oh Mummy was disappointed too!!! He tried to sneak up a couple of times and was caught....

Well, we will go again cos the Jie² promised to let him go up on weekdays aft when its not so crowded... Mmm.... hopefully....

Power Rangers

Mummy decided to bring the kids for the free show at Taka... actually both kids dun really know about Power Rangers,, they have not watch the show before... its just hear say from their friends.... Well decided to bring them anyway cos Evan was quite curious about them....

They patiently queue up 15 mins earlier..... During the Q&A time, both of them eagerly put up their hands to particate but Mummy was kind of worried that they won't be able to answer the questions if chosen.... haha.... cos I also know nothing abt Power Rangers....

Evan was very disappointed when he din get chosen, almost wanted to leave... haha... Luckily he was picked for the game later on and won a little toy for it....

When its photo taking session, both went up to take photos... But Claudia quickly went to queue up for a 2nd take on her own..... cos she said she only went up stage once.... hahahaha

We brought the kids for the movie yest.... Quite a nice and interesting show....

Evan was very concentrated during the show, din even wan to eat the popcorns... Claudia was better than the last time, at least din walk around yest... haha

Cos it was Daddy's off day, both of them din wan to sleep... they claimed that they are very excited and can't wait to go out... Halfway through the show, Claudia was snoring in my arms.... haha... and she slept all the way home till morning....

After his simple celebration in school, asked him what would he like for lunch... His answer? MacDonald Happy Meal!!! Wat an easily contented boy... heehee....

After lunch, Mummy had them have fun at the 10cents machine... haha.... $2 is enough to let them have 20 games.... cheap cheap hor..... heehee

He actually asked for a big real drum set for his birthday present and said he wan to go for drumming class... No no... my neighbours will kill me for tat..... hahaha..... Managed to coax him with a mini toy drum.... haha... really an easily contented boy..... Happy Birthday Evan!!!

Little Prince Evan is 5 !!!

He had his birthday celebration in the school.... He asked for a Thomas & Friends cake, i couldnt find it anywhere... Then i tried the neighbourhood cake shop and they have it!!! hahaha.... I dun know if its tasty but the picture looks nice to me....

He was having my camera and went around taking photos of his classmates... eh but no photos of the boys.... hahaha....

One day, the family went out for dinner without N... Halfway through the meal, my innocent Claudia suddenly said " N not here, I so happy :)"

What was my reaction? I laughed... (and Daddy did too) Anything wrong with tat? We were so used to her saying things like this in front of friends and relatives... N dun love me, only love Gor²... N dun sayang me... I am scared of N.... blah blah blah....

Would any idoit teach a 2.5 yr old gal to say all these things? Obviously no right? Then where is the problem? She can feel, she can hear, she can tell the unfairly treatment that she has been getting all this while... We, as the parents, know it but we kept quiet.... but if my little gal can feel it so strongly, are we still supposed to tell little white lies to her? Whenever u tell her "N loves u", 9 out of 10 times she will reply with a straight NO.... How to correct her when the facts differ?

What am I supposed to do? We kept quiet even though the double standard is so damn obvious... I dun tink Claudia deserves a scolding for saying this, she is just innocently expressing her feelings... Is it wrong? I can't squeeze her into other people's heart... To me, those hurtful words that were said in front of a innocent child for the past 2.5 yrs was wrong, my princess dun deserve this treatment....

I have been contemplating about tis for the past 2 months.... really feel like going out to work before my value becomes 0... Though i still do part time work for Daddy but its different from working outside...The only reason that hold me back is the kids, dun know if they can get used to life without Mummy nagging day and night.... haha....

But actually kids can adapt very easily so I guess its also me who find it a bit hard to change my lifestyle :( afterall my life had revolved around them for the past 3 years.... everything is about them.... It is a blessing to be able to stay with them through their growing up years, witness their little and big achievements....

Sometimes back, I did mentioned it to Evan... telling him i may have to put him on full day childcare should I really go out to work... His tears rolled and my heart breaks....

Last night, he overheard us talking about work schedule and when I asked him over, saying I wan to talk to him.... His tears rolled again... "Mummy I know what u wan to tell me, I have to be full day is it?" That was not wat I wanted to say.... but he really melted out hearts and the look in Daddy's eyes told me I should continue looking after them.....

Should I feel touched, happy or sad? I dun know....

Actually we wanted to have a mini party for him at the chalet over the weekend... but when he heard Ah ma is going to Muar, he changed his mind!! He chose to go Muar for his celebration... lucky mummy had not booked the chalet... hahaha....

As usual, its a eating and shopping trip.... They seems to love roadside stalls a lot, maybe its something new to them.... Mummy did not take any photos :( Why? I also dun know leh... maybe too busy eating... Daddy says I always forget about my diet when i am there, at least 5 meals a day and tummy is always hungry... hahaha....

Mummy drove the kids to Aunt Sab's pl across the sea, in JB!!! without Daddy cos he had to work.... My kids had not seen Dylan and Andrea for a long time and they missed playing with them....

My 2 excited kids... Luckily the traffic was quite smooth, din had the bad jam on sat :) If not I gonna have a hard time entertaining them in the car.... heehee....

Having 4 kids playing tog is fun but noisy!!! They had their laughter and of cos the quarrels and shouting... haha....

Went to Toys 'R' Us and saw a monster and a male witch!!!!

Everything was fine till dinner time... maybe she is tired, maybe she is hungry (cos its already 9pm and she did not nap, excuses and excuses) She threw a BIG tantrum and started crying and whining non stop!!! Mummy wanted to bring her out of restaurant to calm her down but she used her legs to get herself stuck in the high chair!! Arghhh.... I was so mad then she kept asking for her Daddy as if Mummy had ill-treated her!!!

At last she finally quieten down then Uncle JH brought her out for a walk.... When she came back, she was SMILING!!! Faintz.... she and her tantrums!!! I guess everybody knows who is she right? Who else but my Princess Claudia???

Pillion rider EVER!!!

Mummy is a lousy cyclist, only learn how to cycle in my 20s and I seldom cycle... haha.... I am always somebody's pillion rider...

Today I was "forced" to have a pillion rider and I was super nervous.... heehee... but it was actually not tat difficult... hahaha... wat to do, Daddy was not ard and kids wanted to ride bicycle at Pasir Ris Park....After seeing Mummy's good performance, Evan wanted a ride too!

We have been calling Claudia "sweetie" and "sweetheart" all this while.... a few days ago, when Daddy called out to her, she frowned and said angrily " Dun call me sweetheart!!"

While our minds were still wondering why, she said " Call me Baby!!" before giving us her very sweet smile.... faintz.... where did tis sweet creature comes from??? \

But tis baby of ours was down with a bad cough since Tues, with a little fever... She whined and whined non stop and its really a test to my patience.... Holding her in my arms, she keep saying Mummy I want you.... luckily on some occasions, she actually prefer Daddy to me... well guess she just need lots of attention.....

The worst thing about her falling sick (lucky its not frequent or else I will go crazy) is she do not take any oral medication!!! its driving me to desperation!!! Coaxing can't work, forcing worse cos it will induce her to vomit!! At one point, I was hoping to check her into a hospital and let someone else do the job (Bad mummy huh)

The only way out was chinese medication but it is taking effect too slowly.... Surprisingly she rather drink tis bitter medicine than the sweetened western medicine.... She will even drink it when I mixed it into her milk but she can tell the taste of the 2.5ml of cough/fever medicine in her milk!!!

Crossing my fingers that she will be much better tomorrow....

Farming Day Part 1

The weather was great, windy but not hot... just perfect for an outing!!! We went to a faraway land Lim Chu Kang!!! hahaha... Mummy tot of a great idea, to bring the kids to visit farms!!

Actually wanted to leave home early but the nice weather makes us laze in bed for too long, took too long for our breakfast and by the time we reached the Goat's Farm, we missed the milking time :( never mind we will go again :) but at least kids get to see the dif between a male and female goat... good lesson!!

Claudia asks why are the goats so quiet, why no maahaaa sound? hahaha... saying bye to the goats!!!

There are lots of goats there but most of them lying around.... too tired after milking?? We can walk around freely but not allowed to go near the goats.... My kids dun like the taste of goat's milk though I tink its about the same....

Then we went to a neighbouring Dragon Fruit farm but kids say its too boring.... but at least Mummy now knows that it belongs to the cactus family... hahaha.....

The only thing my kids enjoyed here was the "swing" ... keep asking Daddy to go higher...hahaha... lucky it din break!!!

Farming Day Part 2

Next we went to the Frog Farm!!! Saw some tadpoles, pregnant frogs and thousands of frogs!!!

My kids see till eyes big big, mouth opened wide!!! hahaha.... though the walk was a bit smelly and wet for these 2 city kids....

The highlight of the day was a PUNCTURED TYRE!!!! OMG along a ulu ulu road, we heard a loud Bong!! sound and that's our reward for the day!!!

Lucky Daddy was around!! My hero for the day!! hahaha... cos Mummy me had no slightest idea about changing a tyre... heehee.... and it ended our farm trip, Evan was kind of disappointed cos he wanted to visit the fish farm... we will have to do it another day cos this tiny spare tyre can't bring us anywhere else :(

Happy Mid Autumn Festival!!!

The best thing to do on a mid autumn night is to go playground with lanterns and sparklers to enjoy the atmosphere!!! Well this is the rare chance that kids get to play with "fire" isnt it?

Actually I bought them battery operated ones last week, cheap and good $5.90 with sound and lightings!!! But I regretted it when they started playing with it at home cos the music was too loud!! Seems more like a toy than lanterns.... Great minds tink alike, they rather play with the traditional types too, which Mummy likes more :)

Balls are rolling

We brought the kids bowling for the 1st time... They had lots of fun.... tis sua ku mummy din know that there are actually barriers at the lane which can be lifted up for the kids so that their balls will not go into the drain (and our money will not go into the drain too) hahaha....

Their tiny fingers are too small to fit into the holes so they are rolling the balls with both hands.... Mummy hardly get to play at all :(

Camera phone are really not as good as digital camera (or maybe only Mummy's lousy phone) photos all din turn out well :(

I love Durians!!!

My little princess is a super durian lover!!! It is no longer the durian season but she is still crazy over it.... We went for dinner and while waiting for the food to be served, she spotted some durians in the nearby fruit stall and insisted she NEED to eat!!!

So she was sitting there enjoying her durian alone while we had our dinner... till the fish was being served then she is willing to keep it... btw she has a funny habit of eating fishes... she only like to eat fish when she can see the head and tail.... fish slices and fillet she dun like, actually I also dun know wats the dif???

Chinatown

Yes!! Evan was munching a piece of mooncake!! too busy eating all the way...
We were dressed up in our one and only set of uniform today!! oops except Daddy... cos we bought tis set before Claudia was born.. so now as everyone "grows", it was being passed down... (Daddy can no longer fit into his so it's now Mummy's) Mmmm... The one that Evan is wearing used to be mine, I tink it is time for me to lose weight... how did I fit into that t-shirt 3 years ago?

Evan is a crazy fan of mooncakes, only the traditional baked type.... Since he saw mooncakes for sale 2 weeks ago, he has been asking for it every other day.....

Today Jui² bought a box of our fav from Goodwood Park... he ate almost one on his own within minutes!!! but he dun know how to appreciate the very delicious durian mooncake.... lucky ah... if not it will be gone in no time too... haha...

Everytime he sees sampling for mooncakes, he will try all the flavours and all taste good to him,... haha... Everytime I see him eat, I feel like eating too!!! haha

Selemat Hari Raya

If I am not wrong, only muslims wear new clothes and shoes for Hari Raya... then it may be an indication that my kids will be muslims in future?!?!?!? oh gosh... faintz

The 2 of them digged out their new shoes and clothes to wear!!! Claudia started it actually, she insisted on wearing this pretty dress on this hot day... and guess where are we going? Grandparents' place!!!! Aiyo simply have no idea why is she all dressed up?? My big vainpot!!!

But I tink she look sooo pretty and cute in this Korean dress which Jui² bought for her... actually I have not found a suitable occasion and venue for her to wear it to... but never mind she found it on her own... haha... I guess she should be an actress in future, full of expressions!!!

Evan dun have any new clothes but he managed to find a pair of new socks and shoes to join his sister's crazy act... haha....

The 2 of them can be so loving at times!! Tis morning Claudia asked Evan to help her wear her shoes.... She sounded so sweet and tender that Gor² can't reject her request.... He readily sat down and wear her socks and shoes for her!!! Ohh so sweet... :)
